Della stessa chiesa si ha notizia nel XV sec. Nel 1783 l'oratorio di Santa Lucia a Capostrada fu elevato a parrocchia e utilizzato come sede della nuova cura dei territori suburbani fuori Porta al Borgo, già sottoposti alle parrocchie cittadine di Sant'Andrea e di Santa Maria Maddalena al Prato. Con rescritto regio del 1805 fu disposta l'edificazione di una nuova chiesa nella cura di Santa Lucia e nel luglio dello stesso anno il vescovo Francesco Toli trasferì la sede nella nuova chiesa, dedicata a Santa Maria Assunta, costruita più vicina alla città; la chiesa di Santa Lucia tornò oratorio e il suo popolo fu legato alla chiesa di Burgianico. Con l'istituzione della nuova parrocchia, nel 1805, fu tolto alla parrocchia di Sant'Andrea tutto il territorio fuori porta al Borgo. Already in the 13th century, a church is documented in the Gora area, located in the suburban area north of the city and dependent on the parish church of Sant'Andrea. The church itself is known in the 15th century. In 1783 the oratory of Santa Lucia in Capostrada was elevated to a parish and used as the site of the new treatment of the suburban territories outside Porta al Borgo, already submitted to the city parishes of Sant'Andrea and Santa Maria Maddalena al Prato. With the royal rescript of 1805 the construction of a new church was arranged in the care of Saint Lucia and in July of the same year the bishop Francesco Toli moved the seat to the new church, dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, built closer to the city; the church of Santa Lucia returned to the oratory and its people were linked to the church of Burgianico. With the establishment of the new parish, in 1805, the whole area outside the Borgo was removed from the parish of Sant'Andrea.
