★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa è situata poco fuori l'abitato del Piglio sull'antico percorso della Via Francigena.
La particolarità della chiesa sta nel fatto che l'edificio attuale venne eretto attorno ad una piccola cappella con un dipinto risalente al XIV secolo e raffigurante la Madonna in trono con Bambino fra santi.
Grazie al sig. Giorgio Pacetti, conosciutissimo cittadino del Piglio e appassionato di architettura, storia e arte, la chiesa è stata salvata da fine certa ed è grazie a lui che conosciamo oggi le pitture trecentesche di cui sopra.
 The church is located just outside the village of Piglio on the ancient route of the Via Francigena.
The peculiarity of the church is that the current building was built around a small chapel with a painting dating back to the 14th century and depicting the Madonna Enthroned with Child between Saints.
Thanks to Mr. Giorgio Pacetti, a well-known citizen of Piglio and a lover of architecture, history and art, the church has been saved from a certain end and it is thanks to him that we know today the fourteenth-century paintings mentioned above.
