★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Se aprisse più spesso! Solo infiorata e feste padronali. Perfino le scritte dei visitatori che hanno daturpato parte dei tanti affreschi sono di parecchi secoli fa! Una chicca.
If opened more often! Only floral display and manor parties. Even the writings of the visitors who have distorted part of the many frescoes are from several centuries ago! A treat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dopo la ripida scalinata di accesso la chiesa colpisce sicuramente per la sua bellezza e ricchezza. Interamente affrescata (per quanto alcune parti siano andate perdute) con rappresentazioni di santi e scene sacre. Addirittura si sovrappongono due stratificazioni. Il luogo è inoltre sacrario dei caduti militari. Speriamo che si trovino presto i fondi per un restauro prima che l'incuria cancelli questo tesoro.
After the steep access stairway, the church is certainly striking for its beauty and richness. Entirely frescoed (although some parts have been lost) with representations of saints and religious scenes. Even two layers overlap. The site is also a shrine to the fallen soldiers. We hope that the funds for a restoration will be found soon before the neglect cancels this treasure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Santa Croce è davvero un sito di rilevanza storico-artistica. All'interno un palinesto di pitture offrono dipinti che vanno dal XIV° al XVI° secolo.
Oggi la chiesa presenta una cripta, dedicata ai caduti dell'ultima guerra, nel bel mezzo della navata.
La chiesa è chiusa e per visitarla occorre chiedere la chiave ai vigili urbani o in Pro Loco.
The church of Santa Croce is truly a site of historical and artistic importance. Inside, a palestum of paintings offers paintings ranging from the 14th to the 16th centuries.
Today the church has a crypt, dedicated to the fallen of the last war, in the middle of the nave.
The church is closed and to visit it you need to ask for the key to the traffic wardens or in the Pro Loco.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Risale al X secolo ed era un tempo proprietà dei Benedettini di Subiaco. Era intitolata ai SS. Stefano e Lorenzo, per diventare poi chiesa e cappella d'ospedale fino al bombardamento nel 1944.
Ad un'unica navata absidata, all'interno conserva preziosi affreschi che da un primo studio sono stati ricondotti a quattro cicli pittorici.
Attualmente è chiusa al culto ed è adibita a Sacrario dei Caduti, con ossario interrato al centro della navata.
Per visitarla bisogna contattare la Proloco di Genazzano.
It dates back to the 10th century and was once owned by the Benedictines of Subiaco. It was named after the Saints Stefano and Lorenzo, to become then church and hospital chapel until the bombing in 1944.
Inside a single apsed nave, inside it preserves precious frescoes that from a first study have been traced back to four pictorial cycles.
It is currently closed to worship and is used as a Memorial to the Fallen, with an underground ossuary in the center of the nave.
To visit it you need to contact the Proloco di Genazzano.
