Interno molto bello, pochi addobbi, molto raccolto. Risalente al XV secolo, questa chiesa ha, infatti, una certa importanza per la storia di Milano, poiché è la chiesa che si trovava al centro del Lazzaretto, cioè la struttura che ospitava i malati di peste, di cui il Manzoni parla nel suo romanzo "I Promessi Sposi". Questa chiesa, tra l'altro, per le sue modeste dimensioni, viene spesso chiamata "San Carlino", ma anche per distinguerla dalla più conosciuta "San Carlo al Corso". Unica pecca: la zona circostante, cioè il circondario di Via Lazzaro Palazzi, in preda al degrado. In ogni caso, la chiesa è assolutamente da visitare se si viene a Milano!
