★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its well worthy of the hype. Traditional, honest cooking served in a setting that exudes wonderful hospitality that will have you feeling like you are dining with your Italian famiglia. Even the experience of going through the deli and to the small dining area is endearing.
The melanzane parmagiana was perhaps the single best dish I ate on a two week foodie holiday.
I was introduced to it through Master of None but one should note that it's firmly been on Modena's must eat lists for some time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of THE highlights of our trip to Italy! I had made these reservations several months in advance....the food was fantastic, only 4 tables, service
and location remarkable. Meeting Chef Laura and her daughter was super. To top it off, we were able to replenish our supply of 20+year Balsamic from the deli at the front of the restaurant! Absolutely worth the trip to Modena for this restaurant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Travelled for 2 weeks in Italy and ate lot of pasta. This one here had the best pasta. So simple with great porcini mushrooms.
The breaded sausage was not my favorite.
The whole store has a nice style. We loved it there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this place firstly because of Master of None. But finally being conquered by their spectacular meals. If you are planning to visit Modena, do book a table here in advance, what a purely perfect but simple Italian feast!
Absolutely one of the best Italian restaurant on this planet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food. It's not cheap but great flavours and quality. I liked that they offer half portions so we could sample the main dishes (though be careful the half portions don't equal half the price! It's c. 18euros for a half main versus 26 euros for the full size. You might be better off ordering a full sized main to share instead!) The restaurant is at the back of the family deli and feels like a special private meal. Book ahead.
