Malgrado la pioggia, tutto era organizzato benissimo e i bimbi si sono divertiti moltissimo. On the occasion of the feast of flag-wavers and medieval crafts, I visited the place. Da visitare la sala capitolare dell'ex convento un tempo annesso alla chiesa e ora scuola pubblica. In essa si possono ammirare alle pareti i resti di magnifici affreschi gotici. Cassine Alto is a surprise. The town is perched on the hill and is rich in monuments, among which stands the Gothic church of San Francesco. To visit the chapter house of the former convent once attached to the church and now a public school. In it you can admire the remains of magnificent Gothic frescoes on the walls.

Molto caratteristica la facciata con possenti contrafforti che sembrano sorreggere tutta la struttura... Allego una foto del 1982 Magnificent medieval church. E	Elisa Zambon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo lo scorcio quando si arriva davanti alla chiesa, con la spianata, gli alberi, l’oratorio a fianco, davvero molto bello e particolare. Interessante l’edificio con portico e botteghe proprio davanti alla chiesa e la salita al paese a destra dell’edificio. Da girare anche il piccolo paese di Cassine alta, tantissime case con arco d’ingresso sulla corte, edifici con contrafforti antisismici come la chiesa, palazzi con giardini murati. Fu fatta edificare da Roberto d'Angiò, re di Napoli, in memoria del fratello. Purtroppo è quasi perennemente chiusa (né sono presenti informazioni su quando e come visitarla). Non è quindi possibile osservare, tranne che in fortunate occasioni, il ciclo di affreschi, che peraltro necessiterebbero di restauro. The church of San Francesco is one of the few significant examples in Piedmont of Lombard Gothic architecture, with Cistercian derivations. It was built by Robert of Anjou, king of Naples, in memory of his brother. Unfortunately it is almost permanently closed (nor is there information on when and how to visit it). It is therefore not possible to observe, except on lucky occasions, the cycle of frescoes, which moreover would require restoration.
