Wonderful church in the old town and for us plus even a pleasant cooling down the stairs in the great heat. The whole old town has a wonderful historical atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Santa Teresa in stile barocco, fu terminata nel 1735 dai Carmelitani Scalzi.. L’edificio caratterizzato dalla cupola che domina sul borgo antico, ha la facciata in pietra calcarea con la sua superficie concava e convessa, caratteristica dell’architettura barocca. L'interno a navata unica con sei cappelle laterali è caratterizzato dal bianco calce, che da tanta luminosità e accentua la verticalità delle pareti. Conserva tante opere pittoriche di vari autori ed epoche, un prezioso Crocifisso del XV secolo proveniente dalla chiesa di San Salvatore, pregevoli i loggiati per la cantoria e l’organo in legno intagliato e dorato.
The church of Santa Teresa in Baroque style, was finished in 1735 by the Discalced Carmelites. The building characterized by the dome that dominates the ancient village, has a limestone façade with its concave and convex surface, characteristic of Baroque architecture. The single nave interior with six side chapels is characterized by white lime, which gives so much brightness and accentuates the verticality of the walls. It preserves many pictorial works of various authors and eras, a precious 15th century Crucifix from the church of San Salvatore, valuable loggias for the choir and the organ in carved and gilded wood.
