Bella, dalle architetture suggestive e pluriaffrescata, la chiesa si trova nel settore più a sud del Sasso Caveoso. È facilmente raggiungibile in quanto il percorso di accesso è in via Casalnuovo. Le cinque stelle sono riferite al valore culturale del sito ma non alla sua fruibilità. I lavori di restauro si sono conclusi ormai da un anno e questo gioiello rupestre resta scandalosamente, inspiegabiente, desolatamente CHIUSO. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful rock church in the Sassi of Matera. Beautiful, with evocative and multi-frescoed architecture, the church is located in the southernmost sector of the Sasso Caveoso. It is easily reachable as the access path is in via Casalnuovo. The five stars refer to the cultural value of the site but not to its usability. The restoration works have now been completed for a year and this rock jewel remains scandalously, inexplicable, desolately CLOSED.
N	Nicola Lecci on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo di pace e serenità e benessere interiore. attenzione ai dirupi...il parcheggio non é possibile lì ma é lontano...non imbrattare non buttare la carta sono piccoli accorgimenti che fanno grande un popolo di visitatori anche meglio della gente del posto... questa come altre chiese è patrimonio dell'umanità esattamente come le altre lungo tutto il costeggiato...il fatto che non c'é protezione alcuna (esempio la recinzione di protezione) ne fa uno dei luoghi più belli e suggestivi ma anche più pericoloso per chi come me soffre di vertigini..mi raccomando in fila "indiana"..e prudenza, sempre!!!! Place of peace and serenity and inner well-being. beware of the cliffs ... parking is not possible there but it is far away ... do not smear do not throw away paper are small tricks that make a people of visitors great even better than the locals ... this like other churches is the patrimony of the 'humanity, just like the other along the skirting ... the fact that there is not any protection (eg protective fencing) makes it one of the most beautiful and evocative, but also more dangerous for people like me who suffer from vertigo. .I recommend "in line" .. and prudence, always !!!!
