★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zajímavé, ale takové opuštěné místo, kde je jeden kostel, pěkné staré uličky, které projdete za 5minut a zřícenina hradu, která se tyčí nad městem.
Interesting, but such a deserted place where there is one church, nice old streets that pass in 5 minutes and the ruins of a castle towering over the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inaspettato luogo!!! Si è sempre celato ai miei occhi nonostante sia passato di qua infinite volte, in auto o in bici andando verso l'altopiano delle Pizzone!!! È proprio vero, a volte si va lontano per cercare meraviglie che abbiamo a 2 passi da casa. È una fortezza delle Verrucole in miniatura. Fatta in modo identico, con la torre e il suo mastio, la cisterna dell'acqua piovana e i suoi spessi muri perimetrali.merita bene una visita!!!
Unexpected place !!! It has always hidden from my eyes despite having passed this way countless times, by car or by bike going towards the Pizzone plateau !!! It is really true, sometimes we go far to look for the wonders that we have 2 steps from home. It is a miniature fortress of the Verrucole. Made identically, with the tower and its keep, the rainwater cistern and its thick perimeter walls. Well worth a visit !!!

Located just 1 km away from the Pizzorne plateau and righ above Villa Basilica, a little town famous around Europe for its iron workers that forged swords for the likes of kings and emperors.
The water cistern is still present as is the nearby water spring.
Dating back to at least the XII century, getting there you understand why it was chosen as a defensive outpost.
