★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was surprised with this place! We came here with zero expexctations and left happy! Great little fortress with amazing views at the lake. Perfect for a short visit with a child of 6 who is crazy about castles. We loved it!
And oh, they had an open air movie theater inside. Too bad the movies in English are not shown every day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although there aren't many informational postings in the rocca del leone, the views and level of access is amazing. You can explore the walls and towers and be treated to amazing views of the Trasimeno area. A visit is highly recommended if you are in the area--just be prepared for it to be a bit chillier/windier up top than it is in town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely castle/hill top village. Great views in good weather and museums to hide if it rains, lots of little shops if you want to buy locally made pieces and if you get hungry there is a great selection of bars/restaurants with authentic dishes from locality.
