So knowledgeable and easy to understand, and the sites we visited (Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este) were breathtaking. My husband and I had a wonderful time on this private tour, and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a tour guide in Rome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took several tours with Giovanni during my visit to Rome (Ostia, the Colosseum, and the Vatican), and my expectations were exceeded! Giovanni's attention to detail and willingness to customize his tours was phenomenal. Also, as a student of Classical archaeology, I can attest to his his extensive archaeological and historical knowledge. If you're going to Rome, call Giovanni. You won't regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took three full day tours with Giovanni and loved them all -- the best being going out from Rome to visit Hadrian's Villa and Tivoli. Giovanni has an encyclopedic knowledge of the history of ancient Roma and of the Vatican. Equally, if not more importantly, he is a wonderful person and very entertaining. These three tours were THE VERY BEST we have ever taken and we have taken many. The tours are well worth the money and we recommend them without any hesitation.

I came to Rome with my fiancee and I decided to book a Tivoli Tour, with Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este. After a bit of research, I realised that Roads to Rome Private Tours was the best choice.
Giovanni was an amazing guide: he created an extraordinary itinerary for us, then he came to pick us up and we drove together to Tivoli.
The tour was amazing: Giovanni is an archaeologist and you can tell that he's really comfortable around ruins, and also in art historical sites.
Overall, this was an amazing experience. Roads to Rome Private Tours was really the best choice!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked 3 tours with Maurizio - Early Vatican tour, Extended Colosseum tour, and Uffizi gallery tour in Florence. Maurizio was very prompt in answering every email and even gave some restaurant recommendations. All of his tour guides were experts with tons of knowledge! We enjoyed all 3 tours very much! I’m definitely booking with him again the next time I need private tours. Highly recommend! I went with him due to the high star rating on Trip Advisor and the rating is spot on!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sister and I were so glad we toured with Roads to Rome Tours. The tour was fascinating and informative. Giovanni was so knowledgeable about Roman history. We toured the Vatican, St. Peter's Cathedral, the Sistine Chapel and Saint Angelo Castle. We learned and saw so much in a short amount of time. Giovanni was recommended to us and we are happy we toured with him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My fiancé and I knew we had limited time in Rome (Christmas Day 25th, 26th, & 1st when we returned back from Florence... all days being “holiday”). But with advance planning and selecting Roads to Rome tour for our 1 full day in Rome couldn’t have been more perfect! Giovanni was great with communication prior to our tour & Beatrice was an absolute great guide. We took a taxi from our hotel where she met us, to the Roman forum. Then went on to a few great areas that made for perfect photo ops. Then to the coliseum. Beatrice had our “advance purchase reservation tickets” but looking at the line even for the reserved tickets was SO LONG! Luckily Beatrice was an amazing guide and we got in right away! We then had lunch at a wonderful restaurant she recommended and we insisted she eat lunch with the two of us. We then went on to a church that turned out to be much more than met the eye. We then got dropped via taxi at the Spanish steps and made our way to the Trevi fountain before Beatrice walking us back to our hotel. It was a long day but it couldn’t have been planned more perfect. Beatrice was full of knowledge and was a pleasure to be around. We will be recommending Roads to Rome to anyone who is looking to see Rome with the best.
