Stunning view over the hills. Service is not great, a bit snobby. But the view compensates for it.

Just returned from il Convento and had a fab time. Picked as somewhere in southern Tuscany as rated well on Tripadvisor. I suppose top rating and website heightened our expectations so were a bit disappointed overall though still had a great time. Great location to explore Massema coast and day trip to Elba. Our apartment, Mafalda, was on 1st floor of main building and decor a bit 'cheap' compared to website but very spacious and clearly renovated well. Grounds very well maintained and laid out. Elisabetta, her husband and staff were very helpful and friendly with a real family feel. Our hero was Chiara, who ran the adjoining horse riding centre - our two kids 6 & 7 saw their first new born donkey and she allowed them groom horses and help with tackle etc. she even organised a lunch at nearby vineyard with a few of other guests.we're not horsey but she seemed very knowledgeable and rates reasonable at €15 per half hour with all the other experience thrown in. A few niggles: Internet (wifi) was iffy to non-existent in our apartment or public areas. Elisabetta did freely let me use office computer to check-in and print off boarding passes. Evening meals: for price of €20 adult and €10 child plus drinks such as coffee wasn't great value (especially pizzas limited in toppings) but good quality and convenient allowing the driver to have a few drinks! Most of other guests were German as seems the case in most of southern Tuscany but excellent English compared to our German to allow socialisation. Kids got on well despite lack of common tongue. Pool closes at 7 which in hot weather and long evenings felt a bit early but hey it's not a hotel. For those of us not with a western facing veranda there was no western facing seating to enjoy the fab weather. Agriturismo restricted to olive grove as far as I could see. We would return in the morning but def get a villa with west veranda.we wish Elisabetta and team best of success for future.

Perfectly located beautiful convent surrounded with marvellous Tuscany landscape! We decided to get married in Tuscany and Montepozzali was recommended to us by a Polish wedding planner. Our hosts were fantastic and fully engaged to make our wedding a fairy tale. It was in September 2015 when the weather is bearable for European tourists and you can enjoy both picturesque neighbourhood and amazing wineries. Our wedding party was well-prepared: tasty food, excellent service, amazing wine and lots of nice memories. We had even a chance to use a swimming pool and got sunbath. Il convento is a perfect place to go for families, couples and friends. You are welcomed and treat like a family member. The rooms and houses are like from a different century. You can fully enjoy the style and architecture of an old convent at a high degree of comfort. Everything is clean and neat with all the amenities at your disposal. I just want to take an opportunity and thank Elisabetta and Luca for their courtesy, helping hand and friendliness. We felt in love with this marvellous place and I am pretty sure that we will visit the convento again. Our family members share this favourable opinion and would recommend Montepozzali to everyone who wants to immerse into the beauty of Tuscany.

Defenitely a fantastic choice to celebrate a special moment in life, whether is your WEDDING IN TUSCANY, a family reunion, a shabby chic holiday in the Maremma Countryside. Book at Il Convento di Montepozzali and be charmed by this ancient monastery dating from the 12th century, which has been completely renovated. We did it, and we will never be thankful enough to Elisabetta e Luca for how they took great care of us and of our guests on our Special Day: it has been incredible and after 4 years it still pretty much unforgettable!
