Mais la cuisine est une catastrophe ainsi que les portes dentrée ou je suis resté bloquer car la clef que la locataire nous avait donné s'etait cassée dans la serrure tellement la porte était en mauvaise état ainsi que la clef qui était de la taille d'une clef de casier. Conséquence nous avons du prendre une nuit d'hotêl. Je ne vous le recommande pas tant qu'il n'auront pas refait la cuisine et les portes d'entrée.
Nice place. But the kitchen is a disaster as well as the entrance doors where I remained blocked because the key that the tenant had given us was broken in the lock so the door was in bad condition as well as the key which was the size of a locker key. Consequence we had to take a night of hotêl. I do not recommend it until you have redone the kitchen and the front doors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay in the Riva Excelsior Apartment was first class from start to finish. Our lovely host Alessandra met us from the water taxi at the Giardini Biennale stop and led us to the apartment which was less than a five minute walk. On arrival at the apartment, we were pleased to discover that the air conditioning in each bedroom was very effective, especially given the unusually hot August weather. We were also surprised that the apartment seemed nicer and more spacious than it appeared on the website, which made a refreshing change. Alessandra showed us round the property and made us feel very welcome and during our stay, nothing was too much trouble for her and she responded to our texts within minutes, even when we were asking for travel advice.!
Although five of us were staying in the apartment, the large sofa easily converted into a very comfy double bed. We were also very impressed that the fridge was stocked with bottles of both still & sparkling water and a bottle of Prosecco in addition to a supply of breakfast goodies being provided.
In terms of location, this couldn't have been better. Whilst the street with the accommodation was itself very quiet, a COOP supermarket and a busy street with several great restaurants were within a couple of minutes walk. The main sights of St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace etc were also within easy walking distance.
The free Wifi was also a bonus.
We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to our friends.
