★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amici carissimi mi hanno invitato in questo locale caratteristico della montagna pistoiese. Al Melo. Un po' fuori mano ma merita una scappata. Mangiato benissimo a prezzo giusto. Ravioli buonissimi e un coniglio al ginepro eccezionale. Ambientazione familiare ma garbata e accogliente.
 Dear friends, they invited me to this characteristic restaurant in the Pistoia mountains. Al Melo. A little off the beaten path but worth a trip. Ate very well at the right price. Delicious ravioli and an exceptional juniper rabbit. Family atmosphere but polite and welcoming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un posto magico, ai piedi del "Libro Aperto", che può fare da punto di arrivo per una bella passeggiata partendo dalla fine della "Via del Paradiso" del Melo o da punto di partenza per delle escursioni più impegnative verso le brulle cime che segnano il confine tra Toscana ed Emilia-Romagna.
Ci siamo fermati solo per una breve pausa, rifocillandoci con un semplice panino realizzato con i prodotti locali ma è possibile anche prenotare un vero e proprio pranzo nei locali genuinamente rustici e familiari dell'azienda, e se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino...
A magical place, at the foot of the "Open Book", which can be the point of arrival for a nice walk starting from the end of the "Via del Paradiso" del Melo or the starting point for more demanding excursions towards the barren peaks that mark the border between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna.
We stopped only for a short break, refreshing ourselves with a simple sandwich made with local products but it is also possible to book a real lunch in the genuinely rustic and family premises of the company, and if a good morning starts in the morning ...

Siccome la sera prima avevamo mangiato bene, sabato sera per non sbagliarci, abbiamo optato per il take away sempre da loro.
Ambiente confortevole e personale gentile.
Prezzi onesti.
On Friday with my wife and our dog we had dinner at the Saida Refuge.
Since we had eaten well the night before, Saturday night so as not to make a mistake, we opted for take away from them.
Comfortable environment and kind staff.
Honest prices.

Il piccolo rifugio della Saida è un posto davvero accogliente, uno di quelli in cui, una volta varcata la porta d'ingresso, ci si scorda da dove si viene per immergersi nell'autentica atmosfera di montagna. Il ristorante è a conduzione familiare e tanto nel servizio quanto nel cibo si vedono, e soprattutto si sentono, tutta la passione e la gentilezza dei proprietari! Eravamo in cinque e i piatti che abbiamo preso erano tutti buonissimi, dai primi ai secondi; contorni compresi! Pasta fresca, ragù gustoso, carne tenera, patate arrosto saporite: ci siamo litigati il pane per fare la scarpetta! Io, in particolare, ho ordinato i tortelli di spinaci e ricotta al ragù ed erano eccezionali! Fra i vari commenti ne avevo letto uno che diceva che il costo era eccessivo. A parte che un pranzo così buono i soldi li merita tutti, ma poi è pure economico! Un primo, un secondo e un contorno, con vino, acqua, pane, schiacciata e caffè, a 24€. Io consiglio vivamente il rifugio della Saida a tutti e spero di tornarci presto!!!
A beautiful lunch with friends overlooking the snow capped mountains! The small refuge of the Saida is a truly welcoming place, one where, once you enter the front door, you forget where you come from to immerse yourself in the authentic mountain atmosphere. The restaurant is family-run and both in the service and in the food you can see, and above all feel, all the passion and kindness of the owners! There were five of us and the dishes we took were all very good, from the first to the second; side dishes included! Fresh pasta, tasty ragù, tender meat, tasty roasted potatoes: we fought over the bread to make the shoe! I, in particular, ordered the spinach and ricotta tortelli with meat sauce and they were exceptional! Among the various comments I had read one that said that the cost was excessive. Apart from the fact that such a good lunch, everyone deserves the money, but it's also cheap! A first course, a second course and a side dish, with wine, water, bread, flatbread and coffee, for € 24. I highly recommend the Saida refuge to everyone and I hope to return soon !!!
