★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went for a meal at Kasarnjak just because we happened to be staying at a nearby B&B after our car broke down on the motorway. But next time, when we drive between Austria and Italy, we will be willing to take a break and stop for pizza there. We've lived in Tuscany for two years and thought that nobody could impress us with pizza, but Kasarnjak did. They must have a great pizzaiola. The dough is just right -- thin, a bit crunchy with nice black spots, naturally, done in a wood oven. We had 4 Meraviglie, 4 Formaggi and their own Kasarnjak pizza with wonderful smoked bresaola on a pile of ruccola on top. All highly recommended. All pizzas are between 5 and 10 euros and even though they are considered "regular size," they're actually big and we, reluctantly, had to pack one to take away. And the service was extremely pleasant, too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality food, good red wine, I took the typical polenta dish with roe ( capriolo con polenta)absolutely delicious: excellent quality meat stewed with wine and juniper berries, wow! Welcoming warm place just at the foot of the mountain lussari. I recommend it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful scenery to take in. As English speaking we struggled to communicate our needs. The place was very busy and where we sat it was cramped. The server had to repeatedly try to squeeze behind my husband's chair to access items. It was quite frustrating. The spaghetti was delicious even though we tried to order lasagna and were told they were out. Worth the visit if you are in the area.
