β β β β β Very good and authentic Italian food. Reasonable prices. Good service. You can sit outside or inside the restaurant. During weekends no reservations but if you'll come around 19:30 for dinner you can find a place to sit without waiting.

β β β β β Actually 4.5 stars but that isn't an option. The pizza was amazing, definitely didn't disappoint. The downfall was that the service was very slow.
We ordered the 1916 pizza, the double calzone and a side salad. The pizza was delicious, I can understand why it's the name sake. The ricotta Emulsion as the base instead of tomato and julienne salami went so well together with the courgette flowers and smoked cheese. The calzone, stuffed on one side with aubergine and on the other with salami and ricotta and topped with tomato and mushrooms was also great.
The restaurant seemed too busy for them to handle. We sat with our wine for nearly 45 minutes before our pizza arrived. Which was a bit awkward as the queue for people waiting for a seat was directly beside our table. When it did arrive I asked for another glass of wine as I had already finished mine. The salad didn't come until we were half finished our pizza and the wine didn't arrive until I was on my last couple bites.
It's a definite recommend as the food was amazing just be prepared to wait either in a queue or at your table.

β β β β β We had great pizza Cappriciosa and La 1916 for lunch today. Served within seconds. The servers were running like crazy to serve everyone, so it took maybe 5 minutes for them to come to us, but after that - all went quickly! There were Dutch and French couples besides us and they were also served in a friendly and timely fashion. Server spoke enough English for us to converse easily. Really happy :-)

Waiter took our order but did not bring half of it. Then he wanted to take additional order to double. We told him that he forgot that we ordered already and he just did not bring (we were alone in the restaurant).
He finally brought beer after we explained that we ate pizzas already, so i had two coffees, then i had pizza, then he brought beer and then tiramisu.
I wanted to start with pizza and beer, then end with coffee and tiramisu. Not coffee with pizza and beer with tiramisu.
32β¬ for 2 {7β¬} pizzas, 6β¬ beer, 1,50 espresso, 4β¬ tiramisu and 6β¬ service.
WOULD NOT GO AGAIN.
Very POOR service.

β β β β β Overall good food for a fair price. The restaurant is quite traditional and huge, which is felt in terms of service being professional but not overly friendly. Outside eating is ok, but very close to a busy street. We ordered both pasta and pizza - both were good. Would go again if in the area.

β β β β β Everyone here made you feel at home, my family and I visited this place for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The location is perfect, centrally located in Vomero. I love the setup, it feels like someone's house with a wood fire oven blazing and cooking fresh pizza and bread and fills the room with sweet enticing aromas. Definitely a worth going back kind of place.
