★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my most memorable meals out. I’m not usually inclined to visit the kitchen of a restaurant to congratulate the chef, but I did on this occasion back in 2011. Pleased to see it is still in business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best restaurants Ive ever been to. Food was delicious, presentation was stunning (i got served risotto inside an stunning shell). Fish & seafood was fresh (I am from Galicia in Spain, so I know my seafood). The chef was super friendly and generous, we complimented him and he sent over a free dish of seafood. Service was impeccable and price unbeatable. We were 5 people and all ordered different things, we all loved our dinner and clapped at the end. I would go back to Sicily just for this restaurant. Shame my food pictures are in a memory card somewhere... do go!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time, we had the medusa gold ( breaded and fried mixed seafood) and the grilled seafood mix platter. The grilled platter was still sizzling when it reached the table. The seafood was very fresh and tasty. Nice atmosphere. As for prices, each platter was 20 euros, but honestly it was worth it. Portion wise, one platter can comfortably feed an adult ( plus two cute cats ). The cats were included in the price :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok. Hear me out. La Medusa was one of three places I initially chose to dine in during my stay in Siracusa. Please read my other places reviews. Ratings were high and pictures of food were inviting. We were passing this place several times before and always saw empty tables outside. But the young lady who was either wiping tables or cleaning the windows was nice and chatty. She also chatted with a stray cat and this made nice impression. So we came in around 8pm on Friday evening, ignoring the general suggestion to reserve tables, and were asked if we made a reservation. We told them we didn’t. Even though inside and outside was literally empty. So they offered us a table outside, which we actually were hoping for. Within literally minutes, all tables were filled with customers coming in couples or families or groups. Anyhow, menu was short but everything is seafood and fish. We ordered platter of swordfish, salmon and tuna drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice for a starter. God, it was big portion and of fresh fish slices. Seriously. Both of us had enough to enjoy. We then ordered a platter of spaghetti with seafood. It was once again generous and contrary to previously reviewed restaurant nearby, this was delicious and packed with flavor. For desert we had chocolate and pistachio fondant. Should I mention it was freshly made and to a high standard? I give this place five stars, even though we had to wait for the check for more than 30 min. But I knew exactly why - place was absolutely packed and staff was doing they best bringing out food. So no complaints from me. Please make sure to book the table beforehand and enjoy your meal there! Wow

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fancy expensive tasty seafood, service was terrible from waitress and no English was spoken or meant to, we didn't know there was such a charge per person to sit down and use utensils but I can't complain about the food, that was pretty yummy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went based on the previous reviews and yummy photos. I think they were all from long ago and it was a very mediocre restaurant.
The mixed grilled fish we ordered was partly burnt and tasteless - it didn’t taste fresh either. (The previous reviews said fish was fresh and amazing hence I ordered it). The seafood spaghetti was better but not something I would rave about. The saving grace was from the orange salad which was actually very good. Generally it was a disappointing meal even though the staff were nice.
