A small hidden gem in the medieval part of the town with an excellent kitchen!
we were welcomed as if friends, great way to welcome guests.
We had for starters the mixed fish dishes. ultra fresh fish and octopus. For mains the tuna steak. A big perfectly grilled fish with fresh pesto.
the menu also has a meat, gluten free and vegetarian section. And on each page a list of local vedors whete they get their meat, cheese and so on.
so....do yourself a favour, skip the pizzerias and eat a 5 star meal here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food! Careful using Google maps though. You can't drive all the way here. It's inside the walls of the medieval fortress up on the cliff. You're in for quite the climb if you choose the lower Girabaldi parking lot. Highly recommend you park at the Bourg lot up top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time at La Fortezza. The service was outstanding, and the food was very tasty. The portions were of good size and the waiters were very helpful in recommending local dishes. The location is great, a short walk up but you can enjoy the beautiful panorama after dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good Food, super nice service and a very nice Location. We had to wait a couple of minutes before our table was ready and got some Prosecco by the waitress to shorten the time.
Afterwards we have been seated in the cellar - a very romantic place, hidden in a chamber. In between wine and the stored pecorino and prosciutto my girlfriend and I enjoyed the dinner away from the trouble in the Restaurant. The service is very caring and did not forget us.
The Food was very tasty and the Antipasti with mixed seafood can only be recommended. I guess we have been lucky to get this special room without reservation - better reserve in advance, especially in summer, since almost every table was taken when we came by.

We tried the place again and the second time we had wild boar stew. It was very nice!
Fantastic service, fast and passionate staff.
Ask about their little romantic cellar table, great experience!
