We were greeted with one of the warmest, most genuine welcomes from the owner that I have ever received, and the menu - while nothing fancy - featured expert renditions of regional classics using high-quality local ingredients.

All is present to give it this name: family run, best quality sourcing, local, and responding to the highest expectations. I would pity a person giving this place less than 5 stars

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful in every way! We ate here for lunch, as well as dinner a few days later. I will never forget the meals as well as the most wonderful staff. It was an experience I won't forget. We were gifted with a bottle of wine, and it was our best souvenir from our trip!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful food, lovely host. Not to be missed! I am so happy I stumbled over this restaurant. I tried perhaps too early yesterday but it opens around 8pm. So it is worth the wait!
I had the most delicious simple local food. Tonight was an assortment of local cold meats, followed by wonderful lasagne with the local mushrooms and cheese.
The main was a roasted rabbit and I was very happy to finish the meal with the most wonderful pannacotta and strawberries simmered in a Grand Marnier.
Very lovely experience, what looked like a very quiet place seems to gather everyone from 8pm.
Looks like all the guests are happy with the food and so was I
Strongly recommend.
I was also given the opportunity to taste the local sparkling wine called Spergola. It come from the owner’s winery and it’s called La Costa (the label has my favourite animal on it: a lovely fox!)
If you are in Viano or nearby please try, it is the perfect typical restaurant I was looking for ?
