★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very large restaurant, with indoor and outdoor dining options (beautiful view!). Food is very good, service is sparse but friendly (don’t expect to get a drink refill). Big downside: We were seated next to the doors and had bugs (who are attracted to light) flying in our food ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an update of our previous review with unfortunately a different rating. This was the fourth year we went to the Cantina and we were disappointed. The view is still there and the waiters still very nice but...the man who greeted us (we had a reservation) seemed to have lost the ability to smile and make people feel welcomed. The quality of the food went down from excellent to average. In a nutshell, you can still go there for the lake view but do not expect anything else. // Previous commentary: Wonderful place with a breathtaking view of lake Trasimeno . Excellent food and service, reasonable prices. Go there but...book in advance !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very pleased with the food and service. They worked very well with my poorly constructed, broken Italian. The restrooms are very clean and in great shape. My only issue was a big deal to me, and possibly others. We sat inside and we're still covered in little green bugs. Everyone seemed to act like it wasn't a problem so I moved on. Until they were landing on my plate. Not the fault of staff, obviously, but there seemed to be no interest in mitigation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The biggest problem for this restaurant is the customer service. inside the restaurant there was no one to welcome us. The head waiter dismissed us after a short comment on our question showing a lack of interest in the customer. Personnel was slow and absent from the table floor making communication hard. We got asked to order as soon as we walked in and when we asked for a bit more time we were forgotten.
The food took 1h to arrive and it was not that great either. I ordered some paccheri with a "white cream" which is just lots of olive oil.
My friend ordered some pasta with truffles which honestly had no truffle flavour.
The home wine was terrible and only tastes of alcool.
The food is really heavy on the stomach and not that flavourful, it's just full of butter/oil.
The only bright side is the amazing view which is thanks to the wonderful Italian region. reconsider the choice of this restaurant because it is not representative of the amazing Italian cousine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived a little early so we were told the earliest reservation they could is 7:30 pm.
We arrived at 7:30 pretty much spot on, but to our surprise the Restaurant was already pretty filled. Once we sat down we seemed to have 4 different servers, resulting in an absolute mess of an evening. We ordered starters which were hastily taken by a stressed Lady which lead to a different server bringing us the wrong starters about 45 minutes after ordering. We didn’t know what was going on and neither did he.
Anyways about 10 minutes later our starters came. The food was bland and the Portion was small. Our table was constantly filled with dirty dishes as no server took interest in our table. Nothing better is to be said about the main course which included unseasoned Meat, terrible vegetables and what had to be weeks old Oranges. To top it all of we wasted a total of 15-20 minutes trying to pay.
1 out of 5 would never go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hidden restaurant in this small town had a great view and nice dishes. It is possible to make a reservation and if you wish to sit outside and enjoy the view I will recommend it. Nevertheless they had indoor tables. We had different dishes but what we enjoyed the most was the pizza. The ingredient combination was very nice. We had a risotto and a Bruschetta but they were not really good. For 1 entree, 3 dishes, 2 beers, 2 soft drinks and a coffee 58 euros. In general the service was fast and the staff very attentive.
