Ristorante da Vittorio

Superb restaurant! Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience true Sicilian cuisine. Authentic dishes with just a touch of sophistication - nothing pretentious about it! We simply had to go back the following day and if we could we would have stayed there for a week. We tried just about everything on the menu. The tuna carpaccio, stewed baby octopus, Mediterranean mussel plate, raw Mazara red prawns, shrimp and pistachio pasta, clam pasta and the spaghetti vittorio are all dishes to order! Wine selection is great too. Perfect spot to indulge and have a relaxing afternoon on the beach - it is a great swimming spot too. Staff were attentive and kind and it was great to see Vittorio around at all times. Cute labradors too!

We had a nice dinner here - the menu is pretty straightforward and what you’d expect. There’s a nice patio next to the parking lot and you can hear the water even from in the restaurant. The service is amazing, the owner can be seen helping clear tables, and several of the waiters speak English and patient Italian for us tourists. We did find the food to be a bit underwhelming (although- portion sizes are very generous!) the grilled tuna was a bit salty, the caprese salad was really lovely, and the pasta alla Vittorio a bit dry and boring They also give a little complementary dessert plate of little cookies; we also had a really nice tiramisu with it. All in all, a nice place for dinner but overhyped.

Course after course of amazing fresh fish dishes. All cooked to perfection. The pastas were also great. The place was buzzing from open to close. Don't miss this place. Clean up a bit before going. It's a nicer place and commands enough respect to wear pants, not shorts.

We were underwhelmed after our dinner. The portions are huge, but so big that you feel bad you cannot finish them. The fish was fresh and good, but we have had similar good fish at more reasonable prices elsewhere. You sit inside, windows were closed so no atmosphere of the beach. Unfortunately the staff wasn’t very friendly to us, which really dampened our evening.

The resto was nothing particular. Average. For the bedroom, they are nice, just be prepared to not be welcomed at all as no one seems to care about new guest. We had no basic welcome information, e.g. WiFi, check-out time, breakfast time, general info. It’s the first time in my life I have experiences such a lack of attention to customers. It seems no one is in charge. I would say they need to improve a lot in customer caring, or decrease the prices by half. Also the resto should offer much better stuff at a lower price. The beach is wonderful but it’s public access. So just avoid paying a lot to stay and eat here, enjoy the beach and the sea and that’s it.

Went for fresh fish lunch in Menfi and it did not disappoint! Bring your bathing suit and hit the beach afterwards! Beautiful views, perfect place for a long late afternoon lunch!

We were a table of 7, including a toddler, and overall I have to say that our experience was very poor. We got offered water immediately and it arrived quickly - from then on it was a disaster. We had to wait at least 30 minutes to order our food. No more than 60 seconds after placing the order, I chased the waitress to ask to change a plate, as my wife changed her mind. The waitress was rude, to say the least. She actually raised her voice, said that the order had already gone to the kitchen, that it was "automatic"... wow. Going back a bit, I need to add that the table next to ours left, was turned, and the new people that sat there received their Spritz drinks, wine, water and.... starters (whilst we were still waiting for our wine, forget the food, although that table sat at least 20 minutes after e arrived). We also had to ask 3 times for the bread basket (that we were offered at the same time as the water). We then asked for a high chair for our daughter. It arrived at least 10 minutes later, but it was so, so dirty. There were crumbs other other food bits, as well as stains. We didn't manage to use it. As to the food, if you charge €23 per person for a (minimum 2 people) pasta dish with seafood, you must ensure that the dish is very good, sorry. It wasn't great (it wasn't terrible) but again, for that price, you expect something better than what we received. There was an enormous amount of olive oil in the pasta, which I don't think is acceptable. If you charge higher than average prices, you should absolutely make sure that you have enough staff, as a minimum. And in my opinion, you need to make sure also that the food is... above average. We didn't have desert, just paid and left after we finished eating. Beautiful location, we wish we could have enjoyed it more...

We arrived early, and the service was good. But as soon as the placed got crowded, the servers were overwhelmed. They simply could not tend to all their customers. We asked for the bill, and had to ask 3 times because the team would forget. The food was very costly and not that great at all. Overall, it is hard to understand why they are so famous.
