★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo stati a mangiare pranzo in questo locale a Settembre dopo avere visitato casa di Papa Giovanni XXIII. Ci hanno prontamente accolti nonostante fossimo 7 persone e non avessimo prenotato. Cortesia e simpatia sono di casa, molto buono il servizio, attenti ai dettagli (a mia mamma è caduta una forchetta e il cameriere prontamente gliel'ha sostituita senza che ci fosse bisogno di chiedere). Ci hanno serviti tutti insieme dallantipas al dolce, veloci e precisi. Cibo della tradizione e cucina casalinga ci hanno fatti sentire un po' a casa nonostante venissimo da un'altra regione. Complimenti!
 We went to eat lunch in this place in September after visiting Pope John XXIII's house. They promptly greeted us even though we were 7 people and we hadn't booked. Courtesy and friendliness are at home, very good service, attentive to details (my mother dropped a fork and the waiter promptly replaced it without having to ask). They served us all together from antipas to dessert, fast and precise. Traditional food and home cooking made us feel a little at home despite coming from another region. Well done!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È un ristorante a conduzione familiare, si mangia molto bene e il ristorante è sempre molto pulito. Nel menù troviamo piatti tipici della tradizione bergamasca come i casoncelli , la polenta, pasta fatta in casa, il cervo ma anche piatti di pesce. Il personale è sempre gentile e molto disponibile. C'è un menù alla carta ma ci sono anche menù turistici per adulti e per bambini, quindi è un ristorante alla portata di tutti. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Da andarci assolutamente!!
It is a family run restaurant, the food is very good and the restaurant is always very clean. On the menu we find typical dishes of the Bergamo tradition such as casoncelli, polenta, homemade pasta, venison but also fish dishes. The staff are always polite and very helpful. There is an à la carte menu but there are also tourist menus for adults and children, so it is a restaurant for everyone. Excellent value for money. To go absolutely !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locale consigliatissimo soprattutto per famiglie e gruppi, particolare attenzione ai più piccoli. Personale molto cordiale, specialmente la signora Rosi, attenta e premurosa. Porzioni abbondanti e cibo molto gustoso. Siamo venuti in gruppo dalla provincia di Padova con organizzazione Palliotto. Torneremo senz'altro!
Highly recommended place especially for families and groups, particular attention to the little ones. Very friendly staff, especially Mrs. Rosi, attentive and caring. Large portions and very tasty food. We came as a group from the province of Padua with Palliotto organization. We will definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locale retrò ma pulito e tenuto bene, servizio un po' lento con qualche disattenzione, abbiamo pranzato con un antipasto per due direi ottimo, un risotto funghi e taleggio buono e i casoncelli che non non ci hanno fatto impazzire, 1/2 di acqua e 1/2 di vino bianco della casa due caffè di cui uno corretto abbiamo speso 52 euro al momento del pagamento del conto su tre coppie in coda alla cassa per pagare a loro è stato chiesto se gradivano un digestivo a noi non è stato proferito parola pur avendo speso più di loro..... sarà stata una disattenzione ma i dettagli fanno la differenza peccato perché saremmo tornati volentieri, così ci è passata la fantasia.
Retro place but clean and well kept, service a bit slow with some carelessness, we had lunch with an appetizer for two I would say excellent, a good mushroom and taleggio risotto and casoncelli that didn't make us crazy, 1/2 of water and 1 / 2 of house white wine two coffees, one of which is correct we spent 52 euros at the time of paying the bill on three couples in the queue at the cash desk to pay they were asked if they liked a digestive we were not spoken to despite having spent more than them ..... it must have been a carelessness but the details make the difference too bad because we would have gladly returned, so the imagination passed away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Salve vorrei precisare che conosco bene questo posto..e' stato qui che per la prima volta ho lavoraro come cameriera,mia mamma fa parte dello staff in cucina,,e' qui che ho imparato tutto,che direee oggi ho pranzato con mio papa' menu' lavoro€11..risotto super buono cotto giusto una delizia,carne fresca,pane delizioso,veramente tutto buono,pulitossimo,bagni pulitissimi..che dire auguro il meglio a questo ristorante..ci tornero' di sicuro e perche' nooo per una bella spaghettata aglio olio????
Hi I would like to point out that I know this place well .. it was here that I worked as a waitress for the first time, my mom is part of the kitchen staff, this is where I learned everything, what to say and today I had lunch with my dad work 'menu' € 11..super good risotto cooked just a delight, fresh meat, delicious bread, really all good, very clean, very clean bathrooms..what to say I wish the best to this restaurant..I'll be back for sure and why ' nooo for a nice spaghetti with garlic oil????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ristorante tradizionale a Sotto il Monte, a 50 metri dalla casa natale del Papa. Lo consiglio assolutamente. Lo frequento infatti molto spesso a pranzo. I primi sono veramente ottimi: da provare la pasta alla boscaiola, gli spaghetti aglio, olio, acciughe e pan grattato, la pasta all'arrabbiata. Menzione speciale per i risotti, davvero ben fatti. Ho apprezzato in particolar modo quello ai frutti di mare, ma sono praticamente tutti ottimi. Da provare anche i dolci fatti in casa...la torta mascarpone e Gran Marnier è deliziosa e ottimo anche il tiramisù. Non guasta la cortesia del simpatico Sig. Angeloni. C'è anche un ampio parcheggio al quale si accede da una piccola via a destra appena dopo l'ingresso (permette di scendere dietro il ristorante e accedere dalla scalinata dall'altro lato). L'accesso posteriore non è adatto a persone diversamente abili.
Durante la settimana possibile il pranzo di lavoro a ottimo prezzo e buona qualità.
Traditional restaurant in Sotto il Monte, 50 meters from the Pope's birthplace. I absolutely recommend it. In fact, I frequent it very often for lunch. The first courses are really excellent: try the pasta alla boscaiola, the spaghetti with garlic, oil, anchovies and breadcrumbs, the pasta all'arrabbiata. Special mention for the risotto, really well done. I especially enjoyed the seafood one, but they are practically all excellent. Also try the homemade desserts ... the mascarpone and Gran Marnier cake is delicious and the tiramisu is also excellent. It does not hurt the courtesy of the nice Mr. Angeloni. There is also a large car park which is accessed from a small street on the right just after the entrance (it allows you to go down behind the restaurant and access the staircase from the other side). Rear access is not suitable for people with disabilities.
During the week it is possible to have a business lunch at an excellent price and good quality.
