β β β β β We just came back from an awesome dinner at Cinema Alexander, where we were astonished by the quality of all dishes, the nice ambiance, the service and the general value offered to us.
At β¬35, the "menu degustazione" is impressive value for money: it included 2 antipasti ("chianina beef tartare" and "squacquerone cheese flan and chanterelles on a soft polenta bed"), two mains (one "first course", "passatelli with fondue and truffles", one "second course" the best pork belly I've ever had... and, living in London, I've had a few) and a dessert ("passion fruit parfait").
My partner in the meantime had "roasted octopus with chickpea puree", "corn gnocchi in fish soup" and a small portion of "toasted wheat spaghetti 'alla chitarra' with sardines". Great bread, two bottles of water, three glasses of wine, coffee: less than 80β¬, which in London is what I would expect to spend for one person, on a meal of this quality.
Add to this, the very nice setting (the restaurant is housed in a converted small cinema, and the ambiance is warm and elegant, if maybe a little on the traditional side), the fast and nice service, the very welcoming owner who went out if his way to meet our requests, and this came out to be one of the best dinners we had in the last few years.

β β β β β If you up to have a special Italian food and wine treat, no better place to go. Get a testing menue! You will get 5-6 dishes from menue in a half portions size.

β β β β β Three of us, we went there on a rainy cold evening at the end of September. Getting in was an overwhelming pleasure starting with kind invitation and friendly smile of the owner. Interrioirs are great, tables large and fitted by confortable, embracing chairs. Menue is reasonably short but rich enough to excite every curious and cultivated palate. Let the wine choice be suggested, the staff is highly experienced to select the bottle which will be in harmony with your meal. Service is kind and excellent.This was an unforgetable dinner. We shall come back!

β β β β β This was honestly one of the best meals I've had in my life. Five courses of mouth-watering deliciousness. Each course was perfect: amazing tastes and fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant went the extra mile at all times.And the value for money is unparalleled.
In short, an incredible experience. Could not recommend more.

β β β β β Very pleasant dinner at Alexander Ristorante, the dishes were flavorful and very creatively presented. The restaurant is set in a previous movie theater, the owners decorated it in a very clever way; the lighting, the colors, the seating, the space in general; making this place look comfortable and modern enough to make you feel a welcome guest at their home.

β β β β β Housed in an old cinema, Alexander has a beautiful ambiance. The chef uses seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to create incredibly delicious food. The freshly baked bread (with butter infused with olive oil) and Parmesan crisps are fabulous! Great selection of wines too!
