★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are in to WWII history, it's a must see. One of the only Nazi concentration camps in Italy, it was active until the Nazis moved out and blew up the evidence. There are heart breaking stories associated with the prisoners there, just like all of the camps. Made two of our kids cry. Which isn't hard for those two tender souls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Moving experience! Well restored and maintained facility. High walls give a feeling of being in prison. Of course, nothing can replicate the actual experience. But a visit here is worthwhile.

Be aware that with COVID situation today you need a “Green pass” and that many buildings accept limited amount of people at once (2 to 10 people max) so it’s better to come in the morning to avoid queues.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surely not at the level of the most famous (or infamous) concentration camps. For me it is worth five stars: this place needs a visit, as it is the only camp in Italy with a crematorium
