Molto buono e il personale gentile ! Gli amici pelosi sono benvenuti!! Easy to reach refuge, a wonderful valley and not very demanding walk. Menu of the day for 14.90 euros including water, wine and coffee! Very good and nice staff! Furry friends are welcome !!
G	Giuseppe Velardi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rifugio Val Viola Raccomandiamo il bellissimo percorso che porta al rifugio e attraversa tutta la Val Viola. Certamente una delle più belle valli d'Italia. Molti anni fa, sono stato in inverno, con la neve, ed è stata un'esperienza stupenda. Il 27/10/2021, in autunno, ho ripercorso questi luoghi, con i suoi colori speciali, dal giallo degli abeti, al verdino delle rocce, al rosso scuro delle pareti. Consigliamo di pagare il pedaggio ad Arnoga, per poterla percorrere per i primi 5 km, in auto, soprattutto nei giorni feriali con poca affluenza; in questo modo, si può raggiungere abbastanza agevolmente il rifugio, e nel contempo poter godere lo stupendo paesaggio delle Alpi svizzere ( Bernina e altre cime importanti). Inoltre, il paesaggio si arricchisce con una serie di piccoli laghi e con i colori stupendi del lago, val Viola, in versante Svizzero. La passeggiata escursione in Val Viola è di circa 11 km (di cui 5 km si possono fare in auto, usufruendo di diversi comodi parcheggi); il percorso è abbastanza agevole, in leggera salita, diventa più facile in vista del bel rifugio " Val Viola" che si trova, in posizione fantastica, fra numerosi laghetti. Poi i sentieri nell'ultimo tratto si impennano, fino oltre il confine, dove è possibile apprezzare la bellissima valle sottostante. Val Viola Refuge We recommend the beautiful path that leads to the refuge and crosses the entire Val Viola. Certainly one of the most beautiful valleys in Italy. Many years ago, I was in the winter, with snow, and it was a wonderful experience. On 27/10/2021, in autumn, I retraced these places, with its special colors, from the yellow of the fir trees, to the light green of the rocks, to the dark red of the walls. We recommend paying the toll in Arnoga, in order to travel it for the first 5 km, by car, especially on weekdays with little traffic; in this way, it is possible to reach the refuge quite easily, and at the same time to be able to enjoy the stupendous landscape of the Swiss Alps (Bernina and other important peaks). Furthermore, the landscape is enriched with a series of small lakes and with the wonderful colors of the lake, Val Viola, on the Swiss side. The excursion walk in Val Viola is about 11 km (of which 5 km can be done by car, taking advantage of several convenient parking lots); the path is quite easy, slightly uphill, it becomes easier in sight of the beautiful refuge "Val Viola" which is located, in a fantastic position, among numerous lakes. Then the paths in the last stretch rise up, up beyond the border, where it is possible to appreciate the beautiful valley below.
N	Nome on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un rifugio bellissimo e molto curato, la torta della casa è superconsigliata. Sono veramente gentili ed è un piacere fermarsi qui. La location è stupenda con passeggiate molto belle, il rifugio è tra due laghi e per arrivarci se ne vedono altri. Intorno al rifugio ci sono le mucche al pascolo, a noi è capitato anche di vedere il loro rientro nella stalla con i pastori. Fermarsi in questo rifugio è consigliatissimo. A beautiful and well-kept retreat, the house cake is super recommended. They are really nice and it is a pleasure to stop here. The location is wonderful with very beautiful walks, the refuge is between two lakes and to get there you can see others. Around the shelter there are cows grazing, we also happened to see them returning to the stable with the shepherds. Stopping in this refuge is highly recommended.

Unfortunately this summer I was unable to eat polenta at the refuge, but I ate a very good cake! The refuge is really highly recommended!
