V	Valerio Carbonara on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo rifugio. Tenuto veramente bene. Ben isolato nonostante la neve e l'alta quota sia le stanze che sala/cucina sono ben scaldate. Unica pecca d'inverno è la mancanza di acqua corrente, ma grazie alla neve abbondante è possibile ottenerla sciogliendola sulla stufa a legna. Beautiful refuge. Kept really well. Well isolated despite the snow and the high altitude both the rooms and the hall / kitchen are well heated. The only flaw in winter is the lack of running water, but thanks to the abundant snow it is possible to obtain it by melting it on the wood stove.
M	Marco Blondet on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il luogo è davvero magnifico, siamo al cospetto del severo versante nord del Legnone la cui cima è 1000 metri sopra di noi. Ma se ci giriamo di 180 gradi, allora la visuale abbraccia (cito in ordine sparso, l'elenco non è esaustivo) il pian di Spagna, il lago di Novate Mezzola, le cime della Mesolcina. Codera è là, di fronte a noi, sopra la forra della valle omonima. Il Pizzo Manduino segnala la posizione della valle dei Ratti oltre le montagne in primo piano. In fondo sulla nostra destra, il Disgrazia e lo Scalino. Il tutto visibile da un bucolico terrazzo a picco su Colico e la prima Valtellina, che è appunto l'alpe Scoggione. Una nota piacevole: il sentiero si snoda quasi interamente al riparo di di un freschissimo bosco con frequenti possibilità di riempire le borracce. Ah, dimenticavo (ultimo ma non meno importante): ospitalità davvero molto molto piacevole! The place is truly magnificent, we are in front of the severe north side of Legnone whose top is 1000 meters above us. But if we turn 180 degrees, then the view embraces (I quote in a scattered order, the list is not exhaustive) the plain of Spain, the lake of Novate Mezzola, the peaks of Mesolcina. Codera is there, in front of us, above the ravine of the homonymous valley. The Pizzo Manduino signals the position of the Ratti valley beyond the mountains in the foreground. At the bottom on our right, the Disgrazia and the Scalino. All visible from a bucolic terrace overlooking Colico and the first Valtellina, which is precisely the Alpe Scoggione. A pleasant note: the path winds almost entirely in the shelter of a very fresh forest with frequent possibilities to fill water bottles. Ah, I forgot (last but not least): really very very pleasant hospitality!

Oggi con la neve .......una cartolina. Beautiful place and spectacular retreat. From the refuge the paths for the trenches of the Cadorna line and for Mount Legnone start. Today with the snow ....... a postcard.
E	Ettore Anghileri on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bel rifugio e bell'accoglienza. Pulizia impeccabile. Struttura tenuta benissimo, camere perfette. Servizi igienici invidiabili per un rifugio. L'abbiamo trovato aperto nonostante fosse il 2 ottobre. Valerio è stato un ospite molto gentile, peccato che il regolamento non consenta l'ingresso ai cani ed abbiamo dovuto lasciare il nostro nell'ingresso... Ci piacerebbe fare lì un we con il nostro gruppo di cammino a fine inverno o primavera. Nice refuge and nice welcome. Impeccable cleaning. Very well kept structure, perfect rooms. Enviable toilet facilities for a shelter. We found it open despite being on October 2nd. Valerio was a very kind host, it is a pity that the regulation does not allow dogs to enter and we had to leave ours in the entrance ... We would like to have a we there with our walking group at the end of winter or spring.
