STARLIGHT: TERRIBLE SERVICE AND OVERRATED PRODUCT. Regarding the below answer to my partner we have a confirmed reservation (that of course I can show you) of only 1 day, so I don't understand why you say 2 days. Maybe you are confusing with other client claim (with can give an idea of your total disastrous management) or you just lie... I can confirm again that this product is overrated and can throw away your expectations. Why? 1. Very bad quality service. Staff with bad manners and almost not able to speak English. 2. Starlight location not isolated at all. Dirty WC. Bad mattress and loaded noisy humidity extractor that didn't stop all the night. 3. Very poor dinner and breakfast, not according with their "Gourmet Experience" that they offer in the website. 4. We complained and manager response is: "nobody has complained before". Which I don't think is true at all taking into account other reviews and also shows again their bad manners and lack of professionalism. IN CONCLUSION: REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE FOR 300€.

It was a wonderful accommodation end of long hike day for us. The room was clean with hot shower and great comfort italian food. Good service. Lovely stay indeed.

Pretty expensive for what it is - there are much nicer rifugios in the area for around the same or cheaper price range. Food was OK at best. By far the worst was the mattresses, they sag and squeak terribly leaving you with tired eyes and a sore back by morning. I'd skip this place unless desperate.

Wonderful context I found courtesy and availability. Good value for money. Excellent traditional cuisine simple and accurate, beautiful rooms with very nice local furnishings, impeccable cleanliness. English lawn in front of the structure very suitable for those with small children. The owner described the Starlight room, a panoramic room detached from the wooden shelter with a glass roof that we will definitely try again. I recommend a visit.

Couldn’t be worse. The staff (a dark haired, young man specifically) made both meals we had here as uncomfortable as possible. The simplest request are met with sarcasm and rudeness. To say they have an attitude problem is an understatement. I will add the food was amazing so thanks to the chef!

Unfortunately not the best service. The kitchen was closed but they not even offered us a small snack, although some italians beside us got some plates with food. And there had been pretty expensive beer (1 small + 2 large (0,5 l) beers = 15 €

After escaping a storm and finding shelter in the rifugio: Drying room for boots didn't do its job properly. The heating in our room didn't work and even after we complained about it 3 times to the staff, they didn't do anything. Food was basic and not suited for mountain scenery and environment. After all this, the owner treated us rudely when we tried to dry our clothes in the sun, instead of being understanding and polite (since the reason we couldn't dry our clothes was the heating in his rifugio not working). Only positive aspects of this place were the comfy beds and hot shower, but we paid 80 euros per person for this. Totally not worth it. P.s.: do not confuse it with rifugio lagazuoi or others. Many posted google photos are not from this rifugio in the review.

Food was tip-top. We've stayed at many Rifugio in Dolomites so have experience of some seriously good mountain food, and the quality of the food at Col Gallina has improved so much over the last 4 or 5 years, that it rivals some of the best huts. Excellent base for day-trip excursions (Via Ferrata Lipella on Tofane, local VF Alpini, Col de Lana walk to see scenery and WW1 battlefield, Piz Boe etc., the list is endless). Nice staff. Excellent rooms with the most powerful showers ever. Car park. Bit pricey, but for what it is you get good value.
