"reazione fisica".. si andava a "scuola" al mattino: informatica, elettrotecnica ed ovviamente esercitazioni alla telescrivente. Il complesso è (..era..) enorme, con tanto di sala hobbies, cinema, ecc. Ho sempre mangiato bene in mensa, anche alla sera, quando la maggiorparte delle reclute usciva a mangiare fuori. Ricordo le lunghe camminate fino in zona stazione di Napoli, quando non si aveva voglia di prendere il 255 o solo per "perdere tempo" visto che nemmeno con un "48" potevo ritornare a casa. Conseguii l'attestato da marconista, poi fui trasferito a Udine nel comando Brigata Julia nel reparto trasmissioni. A differenza di cosa c'è attorno, questa caserma era come un giardino in mezzo alla foresta. Pulita, sempre in ordine,il cibo della mensa era ottimo, c'era il campo di calcio, pallavolo, basket, sala cinema, sala lettura, sala giochi e altro che non ricordo. Una caserma che sembrava un hotel. La disciplina non era esagerata, c'era ma in modo giusto. It was the year 1978, just transferred from the CAR from Salerno. La sera si usciva, si prendevano i pulmini abusivi,con 100 lire ci portavano in centro a Napoli. Si mangiava vicino alla funiculare da Mimì, che tempi ! Quando venni trasferito a Firenze, sarei voluto tornare alla caserma Cavalleri. Ero solo vicino a casa, per i permessi, ma per il resto a San Giorgio é stato il periodo della naja che mi ha lasciato un bel ricordo.
