★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Call for reservations first, but go there! The food was amazing ?. I'm a huge fan of eggplant parmesan (parmigiana di melanzane) --but my wife isn't. She said that this was the first one she loved ♥️♥️. The wine glasses made my hands look small (check my picture). The staff treated us like the kind of family that you want to hang out with. The decorations and ambiance inside was perfetto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the restaurant doesn't provide any spectacular views, it definitely provides great eating experience. The food was simply amazing. Pinci with meat was great but Ravioli with mushrooms was even better. We also ate desserts (ask for separate menu). My favorite was the classic tiramisu. Creme brulle was served with flame still burning (photo). Make sure to do the reservation on weekend. We saw many people leaving the place because of no free tables.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mid March and many restaurants were closed for lunch. We were happy we found Re di Macchia. Robert welcomed us in his cozy restaurant and we got a nice table with our dog outside the dining room. The dog got his water and we had the Pinci with wild boar sauce and a Brunello di Montalcino. As desert a Tiramisu to die for. And all this for a reasonable price. For sure we will come again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best food we had in Tuscany, very homemade and typical, many options with good vegetable choices as well. Superb atmosphere and the staff is incredible attentive and friendly. Don’t miss out to try the Pasta al Cinghiale !
