Practically ghost village useless to visit, also because the church where there are interesting works inside is practically almost always closed. Going to that village is a waste of time.

Molto bello e suggestivo.
Very beautiful and suggestive. To visit at least an entire day to visit the entire village full of alleys on foot. The panoramic view is very beautiful: two valleys are dominated by the Sinni river and the Agri valley.

Borgo morente, decaduto e spento.
A dying, decayed and extinct village. It is worth the visit around, but since there are not even signs for the Arab Saracen traces (it resembles many abandoned medieval villages), indeed the only trace of culture is a former Christian collegiate church, I was very disappointed. It would be nice to be able to revitalize it! I recommend walking up from the old town, the prospect is much more fascinating than getting in a car.

Ho amato tutto
Christ stopped in Tursi. An evocative village, with various abandoned and decadent places as I like them as an urbex enthusiast. Along the path on the Rabatana you can enjoy a spectacular view. I loved everything

Rabatana, a splendid village that rises just above the city of Tursi ... you can happily get lost in its narrow streets with beautiful views where time seems to have stopped at the ancient dawn ... If you pass by Tursi you cannot fail to go and see it ...

Beautiful views, a bit abandoned. Clear signs to reach by car, but we first visited the inhabited part of Tursi, climbing up most of the hill, before turning back because it was unclear if rabatana was reachable on foot (which it was but no signs in Tursi beyond the house of the poet it is known for). Rabatana offers beautiful views of the surrounding valleys and some of the more less decrepit houses are quite charming but this place has much more potential of they would fix up and reinhabit it. The place was mostly deserted while we were there, probably partially because to only place to have a drink or eat something was closed on Monday. Though an old man followed us around a bit, we think to bring us somewhere to eat, but couldn't really understand much of what he was saying, understanding only very limited Italian. There was also a lot of dog excrement and some garbage which someone should really clean up... Wished we could maybe visit/get closer to the cave houses we could see in the valley below, though these too seemed mostly abandoned. With such great views this place could be amazing, but at least it was nice and quiet and tranquil. Although if I had to do it over again we probably wouldn't have gone this much out of our way to visit Tursi on the way to Matera, which while unfortunately much more crowded, is truly beautiful.
