★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non m' è affatto piaciuto essere accolto col gelo e col distacco che si ha nei riguardi di un "paria" o ad uno che arriva a mendicare favori. La signora ha faticosamente concluso quel che stava facendo, mi ha guardato con distacco e con severità e mi ha avvisato che non accettano roba se non su appuntamento.
Poi, spinta da non so quale curiosità, mi ha concesso di mandare il marito a guardare cosa avessi in macchina. Anche l'ispezione "on site" è stata condotta con tono scettico, difeso, distaccato, gelido, con un tono di ingiustificata superiorità.
In un generale atteggiamento di "puzza sotto il naso", insomma, dopo due gradi di selezione hanno scelto qualcosa cui hanno attribuito un valore di circa 40€ dei quali 20 ovviamente di loro spettanza.
Essere accolto con un minimo di empatia è diritto di ogni cliente. Ero pure uno che andava a regalare loro la metà di ciò che era mio e portavo a vendere.
Quel che rimase in macchina, ovviamente, non era roba da discarica perchè tutta accettata altrove, dopo un'ora, con qualche sorriso e molta più empatia.
 I was not at all pleased to be welcomed with the cold and detachment one has towards a "pariah" or one who comes to beg favors. The lady painstakingly concluded what she was doing, looked at me with detachment and severity and warned me that they do not accept stuff except by appointment.
Then, driven by I don't know what curiosity, she allowed me to send her husband to look at what I had in the car. Even the "on site" inspection was conducted with a skeptical tone, defended, detached, icy, with a tone of unjustified superiority.
In a general attitude of "stink under the nose", in short, after two grades of selection they chose something to which they attributed a value of about € 40 of which 20 obviously belonged to them.
Being welcomed with a minimum of empathy is the right of every client. I was also one who went to give them half of what was mine and I took them to sell.
What remained in the car, of course, was not landfill stuff because all accepted elsewhere, after an hour, with a few smiles and much more empathy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Portobello Market è a mio avviso il miglior mercatino dell'usato di Padova. Sono un’affezionata cliente da anni e qui si possono trovare a buon prezzo centinaia di articoli, dall'abbigliamento (firme prestigiose) all'oggettistica, antiquariato e mobili moderni, alta fedeltà, elettronica, libri, quadri, orologi. Ottimi i prezzi in relazione allo stato dell'oggetto da acquistare. Comprare ma anche vendere è facile e conveniente. Lo consiglio a tutti, anche a chi, come me, ama semplicemente perdersi nella varietà e moltitudine di tanti oggetti.
Portobello Market is in my opinion the best flea market in Padua. I have been an affectionate customer for years and here you can find hundreds of items at a good price, from clothing (prestigious brands) to objects, antiques and modern furniture, high fidelity, electronics, books, paintings, watches. Excellent prices in relation to the state of the object to be purchased. Buying but also selling is easy and convenient. I recommend it to everyone, even to those who, like me, simply love getting lost in the variety and multitude of so many objects.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho trovato mobili storici a prezzi fantastici, comparati personalmente con quelli dei rigattieri del centro storico. Per ogni occasione particolare da organizzare, qui trovo sempre l'oggetto originale a cui non avevo pensato. Mi piace la "missione" di Simonetta ed Alessandro di dare un seconda vita a libri, cucchiai, mobili e gioielli, abiti e molto altro. I prezzi li trovo ottimi. Se si cercano oggetti di un certo livello però, non si può pretendere costino come un mobile ikea obsoleto e di seconda mano. A volte, vado a Portobello Market senza un'idea precisa... così, un momento "zen" dopo il lavoro per rilassarmi e sorseggiare il caffè a cui mi hanno abitutato!
I found historic furniture at fantastic prices, compared with those of the junk dealers in the historic center. For every particular occasion to be organized, here I always find the original object that I had not thought of. I like the "mission" of Simonetta and Alessandro to give a second life to books, spoons, furniture and jewelry, clothes and much more. The prices I find them excellent. If you are looking for objects of a certain level, however, you cannot expect to cost as an obsolete and second-hand Ikea furniture. Sometimes, I go to Portobello Market without a precise idea ... so, a "Zen" moment after work to relax and sip the coffee they lived in!

Una stella per i prezzi, ma il simpaticone che ti "accoglie" meriterebbe meno. Sembra che ti faccia una cortesia a rispondere, zone transennate per le quali é possibile accedere solo su richiesta, e qui entra in gioco la seconda simpaticona che nemmeno ti saluta. Porto indietro un lotto di lampadine di cui 3/4 non sono funzionanti e mi dice che non é un problema suo ma al limite di chi gliele ha portate (come dire ormai le hai comprate) vado via salutando definitivamente chi non sa relazionarsi né come persona né come commerciante. Ora mi risponda pure con sarcasmo..

A star for prices, but the funny guy who "welcomes" you deserves less. It seems that you do a courtesy to answer, cordoned off areas that can only be accessed on request, and here comes the second funny guy who doesn't even greet you. I bring back a batch of light bulbs of which 3/4 are not working and he tells me that it is not his problem but at the limit of those who brought them to him (as if to say you bought them by now) I go away definitively greeting those who cannot relate or as a person nor as a trader. Now please answer me with sarcasm ..

Gli oggetti sono ben selezionati a monte, consentendo di muoversi in un ambiente pulito e gradevole agli occhi, cmq salubre. Si ha la sensazione che, cercando tra gli oggetti, si possa trovare quanto aggrada, un complemento o un oggetto che può rientrare tra le proprie cose o in casa nostra...
The environment is organized into categories and, as far as possible for the spaces, also into themed corners. The objects are well selected upstream, allowing you to move in a clean and pleasing to the eye, healthy cmq. You get the feeling that, looking among the objects, you can find what you like, a complement or an object that can be included among your things or in our home ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da Portobello c’è di tutto, è una specie di Wunderkammer ... oggettistica, modernariato abbigliamento, se si va con un po’ di tempo si riescono a scoprire dei piccoli tesori.
Ho fatto degli acquisti molto interessanti, grazie anche alle pubblicazioni nella loro pagina Face Book che viene aggiornata regolarmente.
Uno dei punti di riferimento per il vintage e modernariato a Padova.
At Portobello there is everything, it's a kind of Wunderkammer ... objects, modern antiques clothing, if you go with a little time you can discover little treasures.
I made some very interesting purchases, thanks also to the publications on their Face Book page which is updated regularly.
One of the reference points for vintage and modern antiques in Padua.
