m	marilena boccola on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Porta Giulia esercita un fascino particolare che riporta indietro nel tempo, a Giulio Romano che l'ha realizzata e all'epoca d'oro dei Gonzaga. Ci arrivo da Sparafucile, attraverso gli splendidi sentieri del cosiddetto "Bus del gat" che in dialetto mantovano significa Buco del gatto, bevo un caffè in uno dei bar che si affacciano sulla piazzetta di sassi e poi ritorno, magari cambiando sentiero e godendo di qualche scorcio panoramico sulla città al di là dei laghi (che poi non sono altro che il Mincio che in prossimità di Mantova si allarga). Porta Giulia exerts a particular charm that takes you back in time, to Giulio Romano who built it and to the golden age of the Gonzagas. I get there from Sparafucile, through the splendid paths of the so-called "Bus del gat" which in Mantuan dialect means Hole of the cat, I drink a coffee in one of the bars that overlook the stone square and then return, perhaps changing the path and enjoying some panoramic glimpse of the city beyond the lakes (which are nothing more than the Mincio which widens near Mantua).
