★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si tratta di uno degli scorci più affascinanti di Oria, la porta d'ingresso a quello che fu il quartiere ebraico della città. Un quartiere costituito da un dedalo di stradine che si intrecciano fra loro inerpicandosi sul colle sulla cui sommità si erge il castello federiciano. Consiglio al turista di avventurarsi in questo quartiere senza fretta e di godere appieno della atmosfera senza tempo che lo circonda.
 It is one of the most fascinating views of Oria, the gateway to what was once the Jewish quarter of the city. A district consisting of a maze of narrow streets that intertwine with each other climbing the hill on the top of which the Frederick's castle stands. I advise tourists to venture into this neighborhood without haste and to fully enjoy the timeless atmosphere that surrounds it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oria è un'antica città messapica, distrutta dagli arabi e ricostruita nel medioevo: come molte città del Salento è stata danneggiata dal terremoto del 1740 e quindi ha pure uno smalto barocco
Oria is an ancient Messapian city, destroyed by the Arabs and rebuilt in the Middle Ages: like many cities in Salento it was damaged by the earthquake of 1740 and therefore also has a baroque enamel

Al centro della volta si trova lo scudo araldico con ai lati due stemmi
che raffigurano gli emblemi della città di Oria.
Al di sopra della porta si trova la statua dell'Immacolata.
The Door of the Jews is the door that leads to the medieval Jewish quarter of Oria.
At the center of the vault is the heraldic shield with two coats of arms on the sides
depicting the emblems of the city of Oria.
Above the door is the statue of the Immaculate.

Tanti vicoletti e tutto da scoprire con il Castello da visitare consiglio vivamente se siete in zona non potete che ammirare anche di un bel panorama e tuffarvi nella storia visitando anche la Basilica molto bella! Beautiful historic center! Lots of alleys and everything to discover with the Castle to visit I highly recommend if you are in the area you can only admire a beautiful panorama and dive into history by visiting the very beautiful Basilica too!
