Andate a vedere anche accanto la chiesa del Rosario che é altrettanto bella piccola ma bella pure Beautiful basilica ... Restored after the 2018 earthquake ... Fantastica la cappella della Madonna dell'elemosina in stile greco ortodosso. L'altare maggiore e sontuoso con i suoi pro e le canne d'organo. Se no rimasto meravigliato della bellezza della chiesa che non avevo mai visitato Amazing basilica, very rich decorations of the central nave, I found the wooden statues of the stations of the Via Crucis wonderful. The chapel of Our Lady of alms in Greek Orthodox style is fantastic. The main altar is sumptuous with its pros and organ pipes. Otherwise I was amazed by the beauty of the church that I had never visited

Ampliata nel corso dei secoli, il prospetto e il campanile venne ultimato alla fine dell'Ottocento ad opera dell'architetto Carlo Sada. All'interno delle tre navate riccamente decorate e arredate si ammira la cappella dedicata alla Madonna dell'Elemosina, protettrice della città, che custodisce la miracolosa icona bizantina del XIV secolo. Alla sinistra della navata centrale si ammira la cappella dedicata ai santi Placido e Zenone, con affreschi di G. Tano 1722, si può ammirare anche la monumentale Sacrestia del XVII secolo. The construction of the church dates back to the end of the 15th century and was initially dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria. Enlarged over the centuries, the façade and the bell tower were completed at the end of the nineteenth century by the architect Carlo Sada. Inside the three richly decorated and furnished naves you can admire the chapel dedicated to the Madonna dell'Elemosina, protector of the city, which houses the miraculous Byzantine icon of the fourteenth century. To the left of the central nave you can admire the chapel dedicated to Saints Placido and Zenone, with frescoes by G. Tano 1722, you can also admire the monumental 17th century Sacristy.
