★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ponte fra i più moderni costruiti sul Tevere ed attraversato dalla metro "A"... fra i più brutti e trascurati. A causa della parziale chiusura è quasi sempre utilizzato come parcheggio.

Chi mi segue e mi legge, conosce la mia opinione sulle opere moderne.
Penso che questo ponte sia davvero orribile. È un profilo in cemento armato molto sottile, per cui ha un impatto visivo minimo, ma le vetrate che proteggono i binari e li dividono dalla carreggiata, sono completamente ricoperte di tag e scritte murali.
Fu completato nel 1980, contemporaneamente alla Metro A. Per questo avrebbe dovuto chiamarsi "Ponte della Metropolitana", rendendolo l'unico punto di Roma dove i vagoni transitano in superficie.
Ma poiché, quell'anno, il leader socialista Pietro Nenni scomparve, intitolarlo alla sua memoria fu ritenuto "doveroso".
Sarebbe stato molto meglio dedicargli una statua di bronzo.
Non gli hanno reso un buon servizio, si sarà rivoltato nella tomba.

Those who follow me and read me know my opinion on modern works.
I think this bridge is really awful. It is a very thin reinforced concrete profile, so it has a minimal visual impact, but the windows that protect the tracks and divide them from the roadway are completely covered with tags and murals.
It was completed in 1980, at the same time as Metro A. For this it should have been called "Ponte della Metropolitana", making it the only point in Rome where wagons pass on the surface.
But since, that year, the socialist leader Pietro Nenni disappeared, it was considered "right" to name him in his memory.
It would have been much better to dedicate a bronze statue to him.
They didn't do him good service, he must have turned in his grave.
