Scam! Avoid at all costs! They approached us and told us lots of lies about the Vesuvius public bus to put us off. They lied about the cost, where the bus stops, that the bus doesn’t go all the way to the top, even used an incorrect photograph of the bus that they drive you there in. They offer you a special ‘discount’ which is to just encourage you to choose them instead. They attempted to charge us 10 euros for a bus to the crater when it is only approximately 3 euros with the public bus. They also approached us when we visited the Pompeii ruins another day, and lied to us that the entrance we were approaching was actually an exit. It was quite hilarious as there was a public road sign right next to us that said “Ingresso - Entrance”. I can only assume they were trying to convince us to pay for one of their shuttle buses to one of the two other entrances to the ruins. Professional liars through and through, they will say anything to get your money. Please avoid them, don’t listen to their lies. There are quite a few of these fake ‘tourist information’ shops around Pompeii, avoid them all. They’re all the same, they pretend to be official tourist info points, it’s very deceiving.

Currently stranded on the side of the road with this company. We payed them to bring us to Mt. Vesuvius (~$50 with book and map) and then back down again to Pompeii. They brought us up the volcano, but then they were late for the time they told us they would pick us up. Terrible driving on the way down, and then to top it all off, the vehicle broke down! They knew it had problems because on the way down we stopped to add coolant and check it out, but even knowing the safety risks they continued. On the highway the vehicle started to overheat and smoke. We pulled over and now we have been waiting almost an hour for something-who knows what, to come get us from the highway. Tried talking with the driver about what was going on and he was rude and told us to wait another 20 minutes. This has taken so much of our time that we may not even get to go to the Pompeii ruins now. So irate and upset with the service. Should have checked the reviews first, but they were so pushy as soon as we got off the train. Don’t make the same mistake! Really wanting a refund now!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! Pompei Service is an independent tour agency, more than willing to lie straight to the face of their customers. They will up-sell you and will not deliver most, if any, of the services you are paying for. We purchased a ticket to Mt. Vesuvius where we were promised access to the crater for 20€ per person. When we reached the top of the mountain, however, we were then informed they would only drop us off at the parking lot, and we were required to pay an additional 10€ per person to see any part of the crater. They then drove us straight back to the agency despite telling us our driver would bring the riders to locations for pictures. There are far cheaper and more reliable services you can use. (8€ or less in some cases). Happy Traveling

I wish I could give them zero stars, but whatever. Their map is completely wrong and their audio “guide” has absolutely nothing to offer. Please please PLEASE listen to these negative reviews of this place and just go to the actual Pompeii Archaeological site for an accurate map and audioguide! Pompeii Service needs to be shut down!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! Really expensive, incomplete and usuless. They give you a audio tour that do not tell you any relevant information about Pompei ruins. They charge you €8,00 for a guide that is already recorded (so pretty easy for them, huh?) and their map is incomplete. They have few locations in Pompei, one of them being outside the train station. It looks like an information center, but is not!!! SCAMERS! We saw many people that pay for a guide that seems way better than this.

Awful agency. They grab you in the street and, rather than honestly showing their services and letting you decide, they tell lies after lies about the places you are going and public transport to trick you into using them. They lie about the boat to Capri to try and make you buy their expensive shuttle to Sorrento (the real price is 2.60 on the train from pompeii scavi station to Sorrento and then 37 for a return boat from Sorrento port to Capri). They also lie about the public bus to Vesuvius that it doesn't go to the top. It does and costs 5.20. Unfortunately we used their shuttle to go up Vesuvius as i had a flight that night so we paid extra for their private shuttle. They promised we get back in pompeii at 3.50. They then stopped on the way back in other towns to pick up more people (who had had booked a seperate transfer) so we didn't get back to pompeii till 5pm and then I missed my flight in Naples as a result. Why not be honest with your times instead of lying just to get people's money. In addition, there is an additional charge to enter the crater of 10 euros. They collect this extra 10 of all the passengers on the bus but when you collect your ticket at the volcano they have bought the "tour guide" ticket which is only 8 euros. Of course they just pocket this extra 2 euros instead of passing the saving onto the group. It feels like everything they do is about how they can take your money instead of providing a good experience for the customer. Also the bus has no air conditioning.

Pompei Service's not only has ridiculous prices, from what I'm reading in other reviews consistently misinformed their customers about the schedule. We were ensured that we'd be back in Pompei by 5pm, but didn't end up leaving the mountain until quarter past. There are definitely better tour options out there if you look. As shown in the photo, we saw advertisements for bus tickets for as low €3.10 from other companies

It's just a scam, they try to discourage you from taking the EAV city bus which is cheaper. Go to EAV bus station instead, it's close nearby. Don't let nice lady in yellow shirt talk over you with their shady offering. Just read other opinions to see how scammy it is.
