★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un monumento che per noi Follonichesi ha rappresenta il fulcro di Follonica, pomeriggi passati seduti ai piedi dell obelisco e se pioveva, tutti sotto la coop! Ovvero sotto il porticato del palazzo antistante la piazza ove una volta c era il supermercato coop. :-)
A monument that for us Follonichesi represents the fulcrum of Follonica, afternoons spent sitting at the foot of the obelisk and if it rained, all under the coop! That is, under the portico of the building in front of the square where once there was the coop supermarket. :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È uno dei pochi punti di Follonica in cui c'è sempre tanta gente. È un buon punto di ritrovo. A disposizione ci sono interessanti negozi di vari rifornimenti e bar.
Follonica is one of the few places where there is always a lot of people. It's a good meeting place. Moreover, there are interesting shops of various supplies and bars.

Monumento che fu fatto in onore del direttore delle allora fonderie Leopoldine che fece arrivare l'acqua potabile a Follonica intronrno al 1850. successivamente ci fu apposta una lapide in onore dei patrioti di Follonica che aiutarono nel 1848 Garibaldi nella fuga fino a quado si imbarco a Calmartina su un piroscafo per Talamone.
Center of Follonica. Monument that was made in honor of the director of the then foundries Leopoldine who brought drinking water to Follonica in 1850. later there was affixed a plaque in honor of the patriots of Follonica who helped Garibaldi in 1848 in flight until he embarked at Calmartina on a steamer to Talamone.
