J	Jessy182 Monge on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Molto bello situato in una zona strategica vicino al mare al centro a fermate di pullman molto bello e soprattutto pieno di historia è informazione...poi c'è il parco vicino è anche una Biblioteca. Very nice located in a strategic area near the sea in the center at bus stops very nice and above all full of history is information ... then there is the nearby park is also a library.
s	serena romiti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Veramente bello! Abbiamo visitato il museo e devo dire che è stata davvero una bella esperienza! Anche il nostro bimbo di 5 anni si è davvero divertito! Tantissime attività anche per i piccoli! Il prezzo pagato per il biglietto (bimbo gratis) è davvero irrisorio considerando la struttura del museo e ciò che uno può vedere (tra cui molti filmati, attività multimediali). Infine complimenti alle ragazze all'ingresso davvero gentili e preparate (fanno una piccola premessa descrivendo il museo e la sua storia per poi lasciare i visitatori liberi di scoprire le varie stanze e piani). Really nice! We visited the museum and I must say it was a really good experience! Our 5 year old also really enjoyed it! Lots of activities for the little ones too! The price paid for the ticket (child free) is really negligible considering the structure of the museum and what one can see (including many videos, multimedia activities). Finally, congratulations to the girls at the entrance who are really kind and prepared (they make a small introduction describing the museum and its history and then leave visitors free to discover the various rooms and floors).

Percorso suggestivo ed ottima interazione con i visitatori che diventano parte attiva nel racconto grazie a filmati, ricostruzioni ed effetti audio. Beautiful and interesting museum. A	Alessio Guiggi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un museo decisamente fuori dagli schemi - e per questo molto interessante e, per certi versi, anche emozionante - allestito nell'edificio più antico della città: il Forno San Ferdinando (1818). Racconta la storia siderurgica di Follonica, iniziata nel periodo etrusco ma, in particolare, nella seconda metà del '500 con la costruzione di una ferriera per la fusione del ferro elbano e conclusasi nel 1960 con la chiusura dello stabilimento ILVA, avvenuta dopo una lenta ma incessante decadenza che seguì alla costruzione del polo di Piombino. Una storia fatta di grande ingegneria, abili maestranze e prezioso benessere. Peccato sia aperto solamente il pomeriggio (15:30/19:00). All'esterno, pregevole e sorprendente il Cancello monumentale in ghisa (1831-1845). A decidedly unconventional museum - and therefore very interesting and, in some ways, also exciting - set up in the oldest building in the city: the Forno San Ferdinando (1818). It tells the iron and steel history of Follonica, which began in the Etruscan period but, in particular, in the second half of the 16th century with the construction of an ironworks for the smelting of Elban iron and ended in 1960 with the closure of the ILVA plant, which took place after a slow but incessant decline that followed the construction of the Piombino pole. A story made of great engineering, skilled workers and precious well-being. Too bad it is only open in the afternoon (15: 30/19: 00). Outside, the monumental cast iron gate (1831-1845) is valuable and surprising.

A	Alex Ballance on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed because we wasted half a day coming here. Their website doesn't say that it is closed on the May 1st public holiday (unlike many other museums). And there's no sign on the door stating that either, so we wasted another hour waiting for it to open. It looks like they haven't updated the website for 18 months.
