Lo consiglio anche alle famiglie.
 A nature walk with the chance to see holly trees and breathtaking views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non molto distante da Castelbuono si trovano Piano Sempria e il rifugio del Centro Alpino Siciliano. Durante il percorso si attraversa un fittissimo bosco in cui si alternano lecci, faggi, querce e agrifogli. Un luogo davvero incantevole per gli amanti delle passeggiate in mezzo alla natura. Nel rifugio è possibile dormire, pranzare e cenare e anche il cibo è veramente ECCELLENTE. Per chi ama la natura e la tranquillità è il posto ideale. Consigliatissimo
Not far from Castelbuono are Piano Sempria and the refuge of the Sicilian Alpine Center. On the way you will cross a dense wood where holm oaks, beeches, oaks and hollies alternate. A truly enchanting place for lovers of walks in the midst of nature. In the shelter it is possible to sleep, have lunch and dinner and the food is also really EXCELLENT. For those who love nature and tranquility it is the ideal place. Highly recommended

montagna il personale gentilissimo, e molto disponibile il proprietario ,non do oltre le 4 stelle poiché non ho avuto modo di siggirnarvi provando le camere ma mi riprometto quantoprima di ritornare per soggiornarvi Consigliatissimo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bel posto dove andare quando c'è la neve. Il pagliaio è abbastanza suggestivo e il bosco degli agrifogli pure. Se vede l'Etna in lontananza. Strada abbastanza agevole da Castelbuono. Una volta arrivati a piano Sempria c'è una camminata di almeno mezz'ora in salita prima di arrivare al Pagliaio
Nice place to go when there is snow. The haystack is quite impressive and the holly wood as well. If you see Etna in the distance. Fairly easy road from Castelbuono. Once you get to the Sempria floor there is a walk of at least half an hour uphill before arriving at the Pagliaio

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Con la neve tutta la zona limitrofa diventa meravigliosa ....il piccolo rifugio offre la navetta se c'è ghiaccio nella strada per arrivarci ed è molto accogliente..... non perdetevi la cioccolata calda
With the snow the whole neighboring area becomes wonderful .... the small refuge offers the shuttle if there is ice in the road to get there and it is very welcoming ..... do not miss the hot chocolate

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooi wandel gebied alleen wel fijn om te weten is dat de wandeltocht in het natuurpark pas begint bij Piano Sempria en dat je daar eerst naar toe kan rijden...wel over een slechte weg met wat hobbels en gaten. Echter is dit altijd nog sneller dan de wandeling van dik 1 uur om vanaf beneden naar boven te lopen naar piano sempria. Wel leuk hoor tussen de koeien door ;) Uiteindelijk aangekomen bij het natuurpark en het restaurant welke gesloten was en vanwege het bord "prohibita" ook niet bereikbaar leek. Gelukkig waren er nog een aantal andere wandelaars die aangeven toch voorbij het hek te lopen en naar een mooi uitzichtpunt te gaan. Ook kregen we een teruglift van een super lief duits stel en hebben we niet nog een uur naar beneden hoeven wandelen.
Nice walking area, but it is nice to know that the walking tour in the nature park only starts at Piano Sempria and that you can drive there first ... but over a bad road with some bumps and holes. However, this is always faster than the 1 hour walk to walk from the bottom up to the piano sempria. Nice though between the cows ;) Finally arrived at the nature park and the restaurant which was closed and because of the sign "prohibita" also seemed inaccessible. Fortunately there were a number of other hikers who indicated to walk past the fence and to go to a beautiful viewpoint. We also got a lift back from a super sweet German couple and we didn't have to walk down for another hour.
