Best Local history museum in Italia

W	W on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is wonderful, the museum is very interesting and is divided I two sections, one regarding the remediation of the Agro Pontino area and the other an historic overview of the Italian effort during WWII. Moreover, it has a small showcase of some of the Italian airplanes belonging to the armed forces. Lots of outdoor space to picnic if o è wishes to eat outside. It also serves hot meals in the local cafeteria. A must go to place if you're in the Latina area.

Sounds, lights even smells, and you feel the sorrow, the fear, distress, discomfort ... You empathize with the settlers, with the soldiers. One of the best museums I have seen. R. Folchi

Elderly people can find their own games or photos of young age. Kids can learn what does it means history true the real sounds of war, objects, photos, huge diorama.The complete tour of the museum need 5 hours. Real plane, bomardier, train, are on the route. One big shop at the end, bar inside, big parking lot.Today I had a short tour and,for sure, I will be back In order to learn more about thus land and the history of WWII.

G	Gréta Tóth on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great exhibit with lively displays. Calculate at least with half a day, because the museum is vast. I particularly liked the night displays with uv paint, such a clever idea.
S	Sean Winter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has been one of my favourite museum visits. It costs €13 for adult ticket but the scale of the place is amazing. A ticket would still be worth it if cost more. The grounds are beautiful and the exhibition halls very well done. Really good motion activated machinery and lighting (made me jump more than once). There must be over 1000 vehicles there from WW2 and also some newer boats and aircraft. On the agriculture part never seen so many tractors. I would rate this place more than 5 stars. It might say it closes at 2pm but that is the last entry time. I would put by 3hrs if dont want to read everything but if want to read the whole stories it will take all day
S	Steve Kleiman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Museum does a wonderful job celebrating mostly local history in an experiential way. If you know that going in, it’s a great stop. Curators do not seek to impart any broad narratives or deep dive on historical nuggets through detailed descriptions. It's not the traditional, “Here’s a big story, and to tell that story here’s artifacts under glass with captions.” That’s the curatorial choice, and it’s executed with much love and competence. Consistent English would be greatly appreciated to make more welcoming to foreigners. All of the aircraft and most military vehicles lack English on the placards. In exhibitions for toys, tractors, and other large presentations, there is no English at all. Easy fix! Well worth the stop.
