Cute little lakes and streams, and a fairy-tale like scenario! Perfect for a pictoresque walk through the remains of a medieval town. Only a 1 hour car ride from Rome. The only issue is the 20€ ticket for each person.

A pieve of paradise, an incredible English garden amongst the ruins of a medieval town. Amazing staff, very informed and passionate about both history and botanics. We went here during the covid crisis and they managed security and safety meticolously. I suggest to book in advance otherwise is difficult to access. Ps. Note that it is worth going in any season, since it is planned to have something different blooming every month

Great place. 2020- 100 years celebration for this unique place. Established on the ruins of the medieval ninfa town (destroyed around 1300). Lots of colors and different plants/trees/flowers... Clear waters. Great views and photo ops. Ooennon selected dates- according to the website. Mandatory to order place in advance and to arrive with the printed reservation.

Gorgeous place, however it would be nice if they could give a tour in English, or one could get an audio guide or even a map that was translated in English. We went on an Italian tour and given the fact that we don't speak Italian it makes it very difficult to understand what is going on. Also, there were way too many people in our group (over 40) and so it take a long time to do the tour. The lovely views make up for the non English tour.

Gardens of Ninfa are a wonder to see if you like nature, plants/trees and ancient ruins, just 1 hour drive from Rome. You can plan a visit to Sermoneta Town and then go visit the place. The park is well kept and staff very gentle and quite prepared, at least on the basics of botanics. It is not open every day/season and you need to make a reservation in advance (adult: €15), especially if you want to choose the best time of the day to visit it. The tour takes approximately 1 hour, it is not a guided tour, but you can find personnel at different point of interest inside the park. Smoking is not allowed of course. At the entrance/exit there's a bar, facilities and a few shops.

Very nice place to spend half a day or more. Unfortunately the guide only explains in Italian and there is no printing material in english or other language than Italian

Magical place; streams, ruins of an ancient city and over a thousand different floral species; absolutely beautiful. the Gardens are 6km from the medieval village of β€œSermoneta” giving me the opportunity to visit them in a one-day trip.
