E	Edoardo Franco on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Della vecchia (abbandonata?) Chiesa ubicata nell'amena "Isola di Terranegra" si hanno pochi cenni storici. Edificata tra il 1673 e il 1674 su ordine del Vescovo Gregorio Barbarigo, il luogo di culto non ebbe mai vita facile. La zona alluvionale compresa tra il fiume Bacchiglione e il canale Roncajette risulta ancora oggi a rischio esondazione e l'ultima, del 1966, ha praticamente sancito la chiusura della struttura. Nel 1944 fu inoltre bombardata e riparata riportando lesioni ancora evidenti... Le opere d'arte (tre pale poste sull'altare) fanno ormai bella mostra di sé poco distante, nel tempio dell'Internato Ignoto, dove, nel 1955, fu trasferita la sede parrocchiale a memoria dei caduti nei campi di concentramento. Oggi (pandemia permettendo) l'area del sagrato è diventata sede di una storica sagra paesana autunnale. Io la ricordo da sempre, castagne e folpi accompagnati da un "goto" di vino, allegria e racconti dei "veci". Si narra, ad esempio, del furto del batocchio della campana da parte di un certo "Niche" (soprannome). Il giovane, stanco dei continui rintocchi, lo aveva staccato, nascosto e non ne voleva sapere di riconsegnarlo... Trambusto paesano, delazione e intervento del Prete che, più con le cattive che con le buone, costrinse il ragazzino a miti consigli. Non si hanno informazioni sulla penitenza data dal Parroco ???, ma sulle orecchie e le terga del "bocia" fortemente arrossate ancora oggi si favoleggia. Of the old (abandoned?) The works of art (three altarpieces placed on the altar) now make a fine show of themselves not far away, in the temple of the Ignoto Internato, where, in 1955, the parish seat was transferred in memory of the fallen in the concentration camps. Today (pandemic permitting) the churchyard area has become the site of a historic autumn village festival. I have always remembered it, chestnuts and folpi accompanied by a "goto" of wine, joy and tales of the "veci". It is said, for example, of the theft of the knocker of the bell by a certain "Niche" (nickname). The young man, tired of the continuous chimes, had unplugged it, hid it and didn't want to give it back ... Town hustle and bustle, denunciation and intervention of the Priest who, more badly than good, forced the boy to mild advice. There is no information on the penance given by the parish priest ???, but the ears and the backs of the "bocia" are strongly red still today.
