Today I decided to go to the Orthodox Church. I knew he was in Begamo too, so I started looking for directions on the internet to find the church's address. And this is how I started the explorer adventure because there are no precise indications on how to get to it, it is well hidden, it is in the courtyard of the former San Marco hospital in Bergamo which is currently being restructured or rather changed. activity. So the access to the orthodox church is made through the middle of the construction site through a well-protected pedestrian street but which is without indications, so when you get to the area you have no way of knowing that the street leads to the church. Looking at the place of worship (the Church), I have the impression that it is a former church with Catholic origins, not of Orthodox origins, but what matters is that we Orthodox in the area of ​​Bergamo have a place to go to collect our spiritual thoughts. As for the service held by the priest, I could not express myself because I did not arrive on time, wasting almost an hour to find the entrance to the church, so I managed to listen only to the last 30 minutes of the service, which does not give me the opportunity to express myself on the religious ritual. But instead I can say that I felt at home in Romania even if there was foreign soil under my feet. Why do I support this simple thing, you have present the stops on the edge of the sleepers in Romania, when we return home and stop for a little, a pork neck, sausages, etc. That smell of traditional Romanian barbecue, which makes you feel really at home. Today we had the good fortune to combine the mros of the orthodox church with the traditional Romanian rest, because in the churchyard or rather behind the church, at the same time with the service took place the ritual of baking small sausages, pork neck, chicken legs, etc. Not that I would have anything suitable but going back home I was confused, I don't know if I went to church or to the barbecue? One thing I know for sure is when my longing and melancholy will catch me at home I will run to the Orthodox Church of St. Apostle Thomas Bergamo
