★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dell'originaria chiesa romanica, costruita intorno al XII Secolo, rimangono soltanto alcuni frammenti di capitelli in pietra, custoditi negli edifici parrocchiali. Quel che si ammira oggi è un bell'edificio Settecentesco in perfetto barocchetto/rococò, ottimamente tenuto e dall'elegante facciata a due ordini, impreziosita da due coppie centrali di paraste a capitelli corinzi che li percorrono entrambi. L'interno, a navata unica, è riccamente decorato da affreschi e stucchi dorati. Molto belli i giochi di luce che si possono ammirare al tramonto sotto la volta della cupola del transetto.
Of the original Romanesque church, built around the XIIth Century, there remain only some fragments of stone capitals, kept in the parish buildings. What you can admire today is a beautiful eighteenth-century building in perfect Baroque style / rococo style, very well kept and with an elegant two-order façade, embellished by two central pairs of pilasters with Corinthian capitals that cross them both. The interior, with a single nave, is richly decorated with frescoes and gilded stuccos. Very beautiful plays of light that can be admired at sunset under the vault of the transept dome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E' una chiesa "importante" per le dimensioni, per la bella facciata da poco restaurata e per l'interno che è tanto ricco di stucchi, decori e dipinti da apparire sovrabbondante, come era nei gusti del 1700.
Alla sua realizzazione concorsero soprattutto artisti valsesiani come il Zaninetti, il Peracino e l'Orgiazzi.
Peccato che per costruirla sia stato necessario abbattere la vecchia basilica romanica citata già nel 1184 come "fuori dal castello". D'altra parte, era in precarie condizioni forse anche per colpa del saccheggio francese del 1645 che servì, almeno, a rivelare le doti "miracolose" del patrono sant'Olivo qui sepolto.
It is an "important" church for its size, for the beautiful façade recently restored and for the interior which is so rich in stuccos, decorations and paintings that it appears superabundant, as it was in the tastes of the 1700s.
It was mainly created by Valsesian artists such as Zaninetti, Peracino and Orgiazzi.
Too bad that to build it it was necessary to tear down the old Romanesque basilica mentioned already in 1184 as "outside the castle". On the other hand, it was in precarious conditions perhaps also because of the French sacking of 1645 which served, at least, to reveal the "miraculous" qualities of the patron Saint Olivo buried here.
