★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the feeling that this place was abandoned like 40 years ago. The only interactive elements were two audio recordings of two choirs, which sounded scary, and the mosquitoes in the garden. It seems like all pieces of sculptures Rome finds during excavations are just dumped here. No logic, no directions in the exhibition. This has 20 times more potential than the famous Roman Baths in Bath, but unfortunately is 100 times less interestingly presented. I left after 1h without having learned anything new. Such a pity for the previous democlatian baths that are quite well preserved and host part of the museum.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good roman museum with many beautiful statues. 2nd floor has many fresco / room walls from Pompeii, they are not as good as those in napolo museum but they are still amongst the best we have seen. If you are in rome this museum should be on your must visit list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very interesting museum with ancient frescoes, mosaics, sculptures, and the largest public bath in the Roman Empire. Well worth a visit- the 4 museum pass is the best deal. Only $2-4 Euros more than an individual ticket and it gets you into to Massimo twice, Altemps and the baths once (and one more place we didn't go).
