Interesting building (prestigious ceilings, garden with original installations) very close to the Roman forum. It hosts thematic exhibitions, now Women in Art: it is definitely worth a visit!

I saw the "women in art" exhibition Exaggerated cost for an exhibition in historic and prestigious spaces but of small size, so much so as to be overcrowded and therefore not very usable. Inexplicably, it is strictly forbidden to take pictures and you are constantly followed in a somewhat pressing way by the hostesses! The two rooms dedicated to still lifes painted by women are in my opinion out of context and placed there just to make up the numbers. I would have preferred then a section "women who paint women" ... but what do still lifes have to do with the theme of the exhibition? !!!

The Palazzo currently hosts the exhibition "Women in Art" which struck me for the refinement of the canvases on display ranging from Titian to Boldini, exhibiting the works of great Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassical and Romantic masters, but also many portraits and genre scenes of less known authors but of absolute aesthetic quality. The paintings are divided into thematic sections in order to capture how the theme of the woman has adapted to the various eras. I recommend a guided tour to better grasp the qualities of the main works on display. In the internal courtyards there are also works and installations of curious interest, of which the metallic wall with vertical garden (Zero Gravity) by ItalMesh is striking for the reference to a canvas by Piet Mondrian.

We visited this place for an exhibition about animals in Italian art. It was a well-organized and nice gallery. There was a very kind guide who voluntarily took us to the underground to show the history of the place and the city and explained a lot of interesting things.
