Al suo interno spesso si organizzano mostre e convegni, ma anche sfilate di moda. Un palazzo bello è suggestivo al centro della città. Merita una visita anche per la sua splendida e ampia scala che fa accedere al piano superiore. Dal terrazzo si gode una inusuale vista sulla piazza Italia antistante e sullo Stretto di Messina. Da non perdere. Also worth a visit for its splendid and wide staircase that leads to the upper floor. From the terrace you can enjoy an unusual view of the square in front of Italy and the Strait of Messina. Not to be missed.

Agli inizi del 2000 è stato oggetto di un'opera di restauro rispettosa e intelligente che lo ha reso un palazzo funzionale e moderno pur nel rispetto delle sue caratteristiche architettoniche, grazie al recupero di due nuovi spazi nelle vecchie chiostrine). Conserva al suo interno opere d'arte di vari artisti ed una stupenda scalinata in marmo.
