★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L’edificio è l'attuale sede dell’ Amministrazione Comunale es è intitolato a San Giorgio, che rappresenta il compatrono della città insieme alla patrona rappresentata da Maria SS. Madre della Consolazione. Distrutto in seguito al sisma del 1908, fu ricostruito a partire dal 1918 ed ultimato nel 1921 su progetto dell’architetto palermitano Ernesto Basile, esponente di chiara fama del liberty internazionale. L'inaugurazione ufficiale avvenne il 27 aprile 1922 alla presenza del Re Vittorio Emanuele III.
The building is the current headquarters of the Municipal Administration and is named after San Giorgio, who represents the co-patron of the city together with the patroness represented by Maria SS. Mother of Consolation. Destroyed following the earthquake of 1908, it was rebuilt from 1918 and completed in 1921 on a project by the Palermo architect Ernesto Basile, a well-known exponent of international liberty. The official inauguration took place on April 27, 1922 in the presence of King Vittorio Emanuele III.
