Beautiful palace with interesting architecture and interior design. Art collections are so so... But overall nice place to visit!

Amazing! This baroque Palace used to be the residence of one of Sicily's most important noble families. Now, thanks to the vision of an Italian philanthropist, it has been completely restored to its former glory and converted into a very unique contemporary art gallery. However, this is not your usual art museum. The contemporary works interact with the historic building, with art installations created by important artists specifically for this place. Other works from the personal collection of the owner are present, ranging from design picese to paintings and sculptures. There is no audioguide, but a little book that visitors can take with them. The idea is that one should be guided by his/her own curiosity, rather than being told what to look at. We enjoyed the visit very much. It is very impressive to see this mix of modern, contemporary and baroque, tastefully and harmoniously interacting. I think it is an absolute must visit when in Palermo.

I cannot understand how anyone can not consider this a must-see. Yes, not only does the restored palace houses the owner's private art collection and touring works but, also, the experience of understanding the range and fascinating artworks alongside the presentation of a restored palace to an extraordinary level is a wonder of this city. The staff, the organisation of the visiting space and, if you are fortunate enough like I was to meet and talk with the owner, you leave feeling like you have spent some of the best hours of your life in Palermo. Even the trees and the effort to save them filled me with warmth. Complimenti del mio cuore. Grazie

I’m still here, just reading on the terrace. A great retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The art is also really interesting as well as the architecture. Much better than the modern art museum.

A far superior contemporary collection than the Riso museum meant we were here for about three hours wandering about. No artwork labels means you'll need to buy the subsidised gallery guide (2€) to have artist details. Excellent collection of Ferretti, Poiriers, Tom Phillips, Elisabeth Scherffig and Gilbert and George. The building renovation is also spectacular.

The best museum visited in our week in Palermo, without a doubt. The building has been restored beautifully, and gives you a unique and wonderfully interesting perspective on construction standards in centuries past. The collection sometimes has the feel of being a bit random, but the whole fits together surprisingly well, and the view from the plant-laden balcony and the highest tower is nothing less than spectacular.

It's expensive and is mostly empty. Shouldn't be called a palazzo, it's rather a minimalist modern art gallery (of the worst kind). However, there is a little known back staircase that leads up to the roof, where there is a lookout platform on top of the roof. Magnificent views...

Magnificent. An amazing experience, great modern and old architecture blended with a diverse collection of works. The terrace and the gardens are pieces of tranquil heaven in the busy city, the gallery is mostly empty and quite and you are left alone to experience it. Wish I could have spent the whole day here.
