B	Black Wolf on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Risalendo la ripida via che costeggia la chiesa di Santa Maria in Valvendra, a Lovere, si incontra Palazzo Bazzini, una fortezza rinascimentale, imponente ed elegante, che ben rappresenta una parte importante della storia del borgo sebino. L'edificio all'interno si sviluppa in una pianta a forma di U, circondata da un portico a tre piani con archi a tutto sesto sostenuti da pilastri; sulle pareti, tracce di dipinti. Nel giardino vi è una piccola torre. All'interno, le sale affrescate dai Salvatori nel 1834 e un camino barocco. Il casato da cui il nome deriva era uno dei più potenti di Lovere. La famiglia contribuì ai fondi per la costruzione della basilica, in cui furono sepolti molti dei suoi membri. L'edificazione del palazzo, nel 1616, è attribuita al condottiero Adorno Bazzini, che era al servizio della Serenissima e si distinse per i suoi legami politici con la corte dei Farnese a Parma. Antonio Bazzini, apprezzato violinista, fu direttore del Conservatorio di Milano. Nel 1938 morì l’ultimo discendente maschio, Odoardo, e Palazzo Bazzini fu acquistato dalla Parrocchia di Lovere; è tuttora sede della casa canonica. Palazzo di grande pregio avrebbe bisogno di opere di restauro e ristrutturazione. Tempo fa venivano organizzate visite guidate estremamente interessanti. Seat of the Parish offices. A nice internal courtyard. Frescoed rooms and a magnificent fireplace in the lounge on the ground floor. Palace of great value would need restoration and restructuring works. Some time ago extremely interesting guided tours were organized.
